If this is  :ffvstr:  then the best fix I've found is to convert formats.  The game is designed for .dds and while the older format works, it often failed to display some skin parts at all if too much in the old format is being displayed at once.

To the best Ive been able to figure out, TGA work only when ALL the textures being used are TGA. As soon as you throw a DDS file into the mix, thats when things start to go wonky.

I'm not using any dds save those that are being read from maps.

ARGH! The pink pieces drive me crazy.

Are *any* of the skins for the affected meshes using any .dds files at all?  I think I remember reading a thread somewhere that suggested if the standard was using .dds, it would effect the rest of the skins this way.

Nope. I only work in .tga because I could never get .dds to save in a high enough quality.

I recently had issues with this too...My Strongheart skin looks fine in Character Tool2, but in the game, his helmet is pink.  I don't get it (all of his skin parts are in TGA format too).

game= finicky. Ram issues, graphic issues. Likes dds. Convert...should be fixed. Alternatively, convert the tgas that produce pink parts or try converting the standard folder into dds and see if that fixes anything.

this may be nothing but i went to the part of the game that says " options " and noticed that certain settings were on medium like character details(i think thats what it was called) and other settings.i maxed them out and havent noticed it since.
