Well the date has been set.

December 9th Ver goes for round 2 of back surgery. Judging by round 1, I'll be spending Christmas in bed with 20 or so staples in my back.  :thumbup:

The good news is, I'll get to miss out on the coldest months of the year, I don't have to worry about buying winter tires and I should see a few sympathy Xmas gifts, heh.

Here's hoping this time around everything decides to stay together back there. I really would like to finish my bachelors degree before I'm 30.  :thumbup:

Wish you a speedy recovery...after the cold winter months.  How are hospitals these days?  Can people bring in their own PC or laptop or a game console? 

Can you continue studies online or is studying not recommended until after you fully recover?

All the very best Verf - here's hoping for a successful op and a full and speedy recovery.  I know there's really no good time for something like this, but this is as good a time as any and it sounds like you have the right approach to this.

And surgery got cancelled. I apparently have the flu, anaestiesologist wouldn't put me under. Now I have to wait another bloody 6 weeks. Sunuva....

So just have the delicate spinal surgery the old-fashioned way-- with a flask of whiskey and a thread spool.
