I'm at the airport waiting for my flight back to L.A. and guess what...I'm using free Internet baby! Whatsmore i didn't have to go through any body scanners and the check-in line was a breeze.
I just know TSA is gonna get me good when I get to LAX...heck the only thing better about LAX is the bar.
Anyway, just enjoying my airport experience. I've got to kill 3 hours because I got here early expecting a hassle. To the bar!
Have fun, have a safe flight.
Flight got delayed. I suspect TSA...it's a c-o-n-spiracy! I'm gonna seal my cavities with beer.
If you do get bt TSA, it is appropriate to expect dinner and dancing first.
Despite delays it sounds like you are having a good time.
I recently flew to Wisconsin (my sis lives there) on a C-list airline and man... not much going on in terminal Z.
I nominate thalaw2 for the position of official FR Field Correspondent, provided that he posts all of his reports from airport bars with a two-drink minimum.

Ha! And he's got to use old newshound slang out of a movie from the 1930's. "This is the scoop, see!"
Well, it definitely sounds like you're making the most out of a fairly gigantic trip. I hope you can keep up the quips in the face of bureaucracy! :D
Amazing! I actually made it through customs without being pulled into admissibles (it happened twice my last time in the US). And...get this...we didn't have to get on those buses that go from the plane to the terminal. They finally put more "X" in LAX (whatever that means).
@ow_tiobe_sb and Benton
Too bad next time I go to the airport bar there won't be free internet or I would be happy to correspond.
I'm going to take a nap.

I would be incredibly surprised if LAX, now fortified with more "X"--"X-LAX," if you will--failed to get things moving.
thalaw2, could we give you a hip correspondent's nickname, e.g., "Samantha Bee?" You strike me as more of a "Samantha" than a "tha."

So long as his last name is a common adjective or noun, such as "Strong", "Swift", "Steel" or something like that.
LAX... ugh. Spent 12 hours there once due to a mess with a flight and it was soul eroding. Strangest part: got to watch the drug (or bomb) dogs train... and yes, they poop on the carpet.
No wifi at LAX? Geez what is it with American airports, I just landed in Toronto last night from Seoul via SAn Fransisco...
I had to go through customs, baggage claim, baggage recheck, and then check-in with metal detectors again...to catch a 1hour layover connection flight.
I was really sweating bullets, wish I had time to check out the bar, Really needed a drink, and didn't have time to check wifi either.
Now in ten days I get to do the whole thing over again... But in reverse...fun.
