I keep getting this notification when I try to get to FF Center and/or the Champions page. Anybody know what's going on?
Yeah, unfortunately. I'm not entirely in the loop, but as I understand it the ffcenter boards have become such a glutton that they've drained the rest of the server. Those of us who're around have more or less decided to close the forum, but unfortunately we can't do much of anything about it. HQ's the one with full account access.
This is really sad and unfortunate. But with all the spam that just kept coming in there (ff center) and no one there to regulate things...i guess it was bound to happen sooner or later. It would be nice to hear some news about House Quake and Vertex. How they are doing...and so on. But at this point, i can only assume they have moved on to other more important things. Still....yeah...i hope they could log in here from time to time. Post a few posts now and then...
If anyone has access to the site data I could create a back up on freedomforceuniverse.com this weekend.
OH NO! All the Champions of Freedom pages are showing up as suspended too. :blink:

EDIT: Oops, I see YL already mentioned that...Sorry, it just shocked me when I went there.
My password is no longer valid so I don't have access anymore. Same story with Cas' access information.

Well this is not good. I am not thankful for this development.
I had full access like Quake once upon a time but due to data loss so long ago... and a horrible memory I don't know my own logon info so can't see if I can do anything about it. It figures the forum over there would drag it all down... I periodically went and got rid of spam there but was always disappointed it didn't catch on, especially when FR here went down for so long... considering it was meant to be a backup for this place. Anyhow yeah I'm all for just tearing down the forum over there just so the rest of the site can get back up and running but can't seem to do anything about it.

Nope haven't heard from Quake, slowly lost contact with him more and more as time went by but I've put out some feelers to him hoping he'll notice.
Vertextual Reality is down too.
I'm assuming its all part of the same issue?

Plz. the only reason people noticed Champions was gone is because Gren sneaks content on there and doesn't tell anyone.

To add to this, I've tried contacting HQ via MySpace and haven't heard anything from him either. Though it appears he's gone even more gaga for Prince, though...am unsure if that is a good thing or not.
Happy to say Quake is alive and well and we messaged back and forth some this morning. He says the prob should be easy to fix once the site is contacted and gives partial access to fix it. I have to admit though it does appear that the "lease" for FFcenter and champions etc... is up in March anyhow though.
Well, it's good to know HQ is doing ok. Thanks for letting us know Vertex. :)
So are you guys planning on changing/switching sites once the "lease" ends?

It's all the FFCenter sites, unfortunately.
I see that Vertex mentioned before how the 'lease' was up in March. I hope it's not a permanent situation, as those sites were a boon to the community.

The fact that no one's paying for it? Same thing happened with NPI awhile back if you'll recall. At this point, someone just needs to either take over upkeep for FFcenter (I think HQ owns both that and NPI), or move the sites to another website.
All that content lost for eternity! :o
I'm sure that between the lot of us content hoarders, we could re-post most, if not all of the lost content.
I believe that I have everything thing from the Champions website downloaded and saved.
I could just rehost the files should the very unfortunate data-wipe occur.

I think Johnny is right about the site being paid up for another year.. but for SOME reason they seem to have noticed his card got replaced or whatever and want the new number ... a freakin' year in advance to renew the account. While the site is very helpful and good to use... when it comes to money and site renewal these guys not only seem "fishy" in how they operate... I'd say some of their tactics are downright criminal.
