I'm a little concerned about the Champions of Freedom[/i website, and I'm hoping that its not dead and/or gone forever. If it is, I'm gonna be sad because I like getting some of the meshes, skins and such from there and further more I'm gonna be bummed and sad at the same time :(. So please everyone, let's just hope for the best and pray that this will blow over along with the Champions of Freedom site which I hope will pull through from this major situation. Until then, keep me updated with the other members of Freedom Reborn and hope that we'll have some news :) good :) and/or :angry: bad :angry: on the status of Champions of Freedom to see if they're gone for good or not. Until then... Check you later!!!

There was a lot of substantial meshes and skins there and I hope it's not lost in the ether.

Should I start gathering meshes and skins to put up in a yahoo group? I have about half of what was available on Champions and others could send what they have.
my apologies for not letting everyone the site was closing ..
a few reasons why we had to let the site go
1).. funds
2). all passwords got lost in time.. so it wasn't getting updated by most.
3). il take full responsibility and the blame for it closing

Naw, I think I'll blame murs instead. I'm sure it's his fault somehow.
That said, as several people have pointed out, Champions could very easily be moved under another webspace, cat's being the most obvious example (but even prev's hosting FXforce under FRP at this point). That would also solve the password problem, as moving it would require making new logins anyway.
But whatever, that's for you guys (aka the champions members) to work out with someone. For now though, I'm with Helix... we should cobble together whatever was on CoF and Vertexual Reality (yeah, that went down too) and get it onto yahoo groups.
Sad to hear that Champions is done. It was a great site.
With the people we have here I'm sure we can get the site a new home, or at least content.
As always thank you everyone for all the great content. It's sites like the Champions that have made this such a fun game to have.

If you click on some of the links, it still lists all the content (with images) that most of the creators had on the site (although it doesn't list Grenadier or Area34's work, unfortunately). It could be helpful to post the list in the "request" section, use it as a checklist and see if everyone can pitch in to retrieve all the content so it can be archived in your Yahoo groups?

That would be cool if the Champions of Freedom and Vertexual Reality sites could be restored or relocated.
I'm not sure how that works. There are tons of free web hosts, but I don't know how much storage they provide for downloadable content. I'm looking into it. Ultimately, I'd love to be able to combine Champions and Vertexual Reality if the creators would agree to it. But we'll see. Right now, I don't even have all of the info necessary.
Yola is the site that I use and it has a sufficient amount of online storage memory.
