Title: Cyber's Requests
Post by: Cyber Burn on September 16, 2013, 01:17:10 PM
Well, this is another character that is drawn differently in nearly every pic I see ( :banghead:), which is kind of frustrating. But I think that I want to go with something similar to this version of his costume. I've got my base mesh, I've got my trident, and I've got my bootcuffs. I'm sure finding the horns won't be a problem either.

I'm kind of stuck as to which collar to use for him, and which glovecuffs to use. Does anyone have any suggestions?

As always, I appreciate any advice I can get. Thank you.

2 quick questions just because i'm nosey like that. what are you using for the base mesh, and what are you using for the coat? as to the collar, I would say maybe the collar from tommyboy's martian manhunter tvlite mesh? and for the wristcuffs, i guess it depends on what version of the character you want, if you are going by the picture above, maybe a bootcuff would work?

Here's my recipe so far:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Base Mesh: Firelord by Grenadier

Male_Basic: Nova69 by Bobby69

Trident: Neptune_Tvlite by Tommyboy

Bootcuffs: Green_Arrow_GA_YL&REN by Yellow_Lantern and Renegade
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I couldn't find a "Coat" piece that I liked, so I went with a mesh that already had one. Of course, this is always subject to change.

How about the "coat" piece from Gren's Gabriel_Airwalker mesh?
Title: Re: Suggestions for Blue Devil
Post by: Cyber Burn on September 17, 2013, 01:25:58 PM
Thank you Helix, I gave that a try, but because of the size difference between "Airwalker" and the other "Male_Basic" meshes, it didn't quite fit right, even after trying to edit it in Nifskope.

As for using the Bootcuffs for the Wristcuffs, it looks like that on all of Ren's meshes, he locked both cuffs together, but I'll keep looking.

Thank you both for taking the time to respond.

maybe the bootcuffs from tommyboys wildfire mesh (I don't remember which version has the cuffs i'm thinking about). as for the male basic part, maybe one of renegades male muscular tall pointed shoulders or whatever theyre called, that should solve your size issue and the coat issue. what are you going to use for the beard pieces?
Title: Re: Suggestions for Blue Devil
Post by: hoss20 on September 17, 2013, 04:17:55 PM
For the wristcuffs, I might suggest IG_Mentor_Gren. Even though the wristcuffs don't have that "wavy" look to them, they are located in the mid forearm area (so, less moving around for you). They may just need some size adjustment.

Post by: windblown on September 17, 2013, 10:37:59 PM
I think that the bootcuffs of "XCJ Lowerhair Mask" by Ink (at HeroForce) would work as those wristcuffs.

As for the collar, maybe "Rick_Jones_ttvlite"? if that one doesn't work for you, Tommyboy has several meshes with similar collars too.

Here's my current WIP, I'm not happy with it, so I definitely want to make some changes, especially to the collar. The shoulder pads are from Gni's "Silent_Scout" mesh because I couldn't find a coat that I was happy with.

Well, Blue Devil is another project that has been placed on hold because I wasn't happy with it, I'll get back to it, just not right now.

What I am looking for now is Jik's "XCOM_Male_Light_Rocket", I think I have the meshes from his Yahoo Groups, but I don't recall seeing this one. Also, for some reason, my computer won't let me download the "X-Mod" from Alex's site (It's coming up as a security issue, not sure why). But if someone could please send me the mesh by JIK, I would very much appreciate it. Thank you.  :D

I just sent it to you, my friend. I found this mesh, among many others, here: http://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/Jikmeshes3/files
I didn't know if you were needing anything else of Jik's.

Not a problem. I was actually surprised that you weren't sure where to find it or didn't already have it.

Do you still need/want the XMod? I went to download it to see if I got the same message and I went to the download site. It looks like I would need to register on the site. Did you get the security message after this point? I can go ahead and do that if you want the mod.

I'm sure I have the meshes on my disks, but with my disk drive down, I'm not able to check. As for the Mod itself, I was just going to download it for the meshes, but if they are available at JIK's Yahoo Groups, then I'm good. Again, thank you for all your help.
Title: Re: Flag Carrying Mesh?
Post by: Cyber Burn on November 18, 2013, 01:47:32 AM
I may be crazy (OK, that's a given), but I could have sworn that there was a mesh floating around that was maybe a "Male_Basic" but weilding a Flag. Does anyone know of something like this? Otherwise I would have to try and skope one, but I thought I would ask first. Thank you.
Title: Re: Flag Carrying Mesh?
Post by: vorelliwiseau on November 18, 2013, 04:23:58 AM
I'm using tommyboy's manhunter_armor_t for a skope right now, and I see one of his idle animations has him holding the staff upright in front of him.

No flag, really, but the pose seems perfect for a flag-bearer to attach a piece to. Good luck!
Title: Re: Flag Carrying Mesh?
Post by: Cyber Burn on November 20, 2013, 12:27:40 AM
Thanks V, I'm looking at both that one and Grenadier's Firelord mesh for my skope, but I figured I would at least check and see if something already existed before I started a completely new skope.
Title: Re: Flag Carrying Mesh?
Post by: hoss20 on November 20, 2013, 02:37:05 AM
I might suggest male_basic_staff by Grenadier or even the newer Checkmate_v2_Gren. The idle animation for male_basic_staff looks great for a standard bearer and even the melee_idle isn't bad.

Edit: Gren's Checkmate_v2 has a cool Rally animation that could come in handy, as well.

I've started on my Flag bearer skope, but I had a couple of questions.

1. Is there a spear floating around somewhere? I would kind of like to use that instead of a basic staff.

2. Does anyone know of any type of Atlantean flag images floating around somewhere? I know it's a longshot, but if there is a pic that I can use, I would very much like to have one.

Thank you again for any help.

i think it was dognoodle who made the male basic flag. i could not find it online.
can you show me a pic of what you want the spear to look like?
Title: Re: Flag Carrying Mesh?
Post by: vorelliwiseau on November 22, 2013, 07:09:50 PM
I think an"A" like the one on Aquaman's belt - could serve as a decent starting point for your flag, Cyber. Ocean Master, Aquaman and a lot of other Atlantean personnel seem to sport it, like this dude:

I guess the key would be to make it look less of an A as possible - fill the inside of the A with seams, or you could surround it with some ornate decor, like on the 'A' here:

Sorry I couldn't find an exact Atlantean flag, but I hope this gives you some ideas. Best of luck!

I have a spear from the Atlantean Mesh from Benton's DCUG mod, if that is the kind that you are looking for.

Bearded: I don't have an actual pic in mind, I was basically just looking for a staff with some sort of pointed tip. And  I'm glad to know that I wasn't crazy, and that someone else remembered this.

Vorelliwiseau: Thank you for the pics, they do help.

Spyder: I didn't even think to check Benton's Mod ( :banghead:), will definitely do that.

If you check out the staff on the male_basic_staff in Nifskope, you'll see that it has four different "heads" to choose from (Blade, Trident, Staff_Tip, and Spear).

Hey guys, does anyone happen to have the Gryphon's Skinning Tutorial saved? I have it on a Word Document, but it doesn't have the images saved.

I'm also trying to collect any other tutorials that are available. Right now, I am collecting tutorials for both skinning and skoping. My eventual goal is to not only try to get the FR Wiki updated with as much information as possible (I just put in a request to join it), but to also put all the Tutorials I have saved on Word Documents in a Yahoo Group or something as a back up.
Title: Re: Looking For Tutorials.

I have:
Carravaggio's Highlights Tutorial
Murs47's Skinning Tutorial
Animated Textures in Nifskope by White Knight (saved as a text file, but I can find the original web page, if you'd like)

The skinning tutorials have been saved as web pages to my hard drive, so they contain all of the pictures.

Ah... see, the reason I asked is, that's actually off model for the character. The hands are supposed to be blue like the costume, Mattel just messed up when they did the figure (as did the colorist of issues 10 and 11 of trinity, but it was corrected in later issues)

Your skeleton is nice. It's not too sophisticated, but it doesn't need to be and looks good in game which is important. I'm almost positive that's the one I skoped into Ren's Superman. I tried weighting a complex skeleton before. They end up messy looking and eat up to much system resources.

Ren has one as well.

Here's the group where I found Ren's: https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/Renegademeshes2/files

They were initially taken by Bamphalas from the Half-Life game and rigged for FF and then Ren added FX. There doesn't appear to be any issue with skoping them.
Title: Re: Looking For A Skeleton Mesh
Post by: Cyber Burn on February 10, 2014, 11:57:20 PM
Thank you for all the replies. Essentially, my thought process is going something like this:

The Mesh is in Renegade's Yahoo Group, Renegade is a "Yes" in regards to Skoping, however, the Mesh was imported to FF by Bamphalas. Bamphalas is not on the "Yes" list for Skoping permissions. The "Read_Me" file states that it's alright to HEX, but there is no mention of Skoping.

When it comes to Skoping, I really try to make sure I follow the permissions list. I have a lot of respect for our content creators, and I really want to respect their wishes. Between the way that the wording is phrased in the "Read_Me" file, and the fact that Bamphalas is not on the Skoping permissions list, it just really makes me hesitant to Skope it, which is why I'm looking for other options.

Sorry about that Cyber. The Read Me is a little confusing. I was just going by the fact that the Skeleton is not an original creation of Bamphalas. He took it from another game and converted it to a nif and modified it. It was Renegade's rigging for animations that made it usable for FF. As Randomdays is doing the same thing for you and you've been doing some keyframe work for a lot of his conversions, I realize that this is a lot of labor in and of itself. I was just trying to save you guys some unnecessary work.

Another alternative might be to grab Dr. Phosphorus at the same Yahoo group as above. Although it uses the same skeleton as a part of it, it is released as a Renegade mesh.

Edit: Forget all of the above and grab the vxNegative_Man-modern mesh. The skeleton you see through the male_basic form is its own mesh. I can send it to you if it's not in of Vertex's Yahoo groups. One of the cool things about this one is that the mesh was created with individual ribs.

I seem to remember some skeleton meshes with a sword and an axe and .. something else, I forget. Are those Renegade's, or someone else's?

Also, yeah, Hoss's suggestion for the vxNegative_Man is perfect.. you just skope off the outer 'skin' part of the mesh and it's all done.

Alternatives and variations are always nice, I'll check out Vertex's Mesh. As for the other Skeleton Meshes, those are by 3D Master and are not on the "Yes" list for Skoping.

I'd be willing to try that Negative Man out! As thanks, I offer some [metaphorical] legwork!

Anyway, I checked out some sources, but I can't seem to find it.

*Google led me to http://newpowerinc.com/meshworks/index.htm, but the page 404'd on me.
*It's not on the megalist either, unless it's under another name.
*Here's  (http://freedomreborn.net/forums/index.php?topic=56376.msg762153#msg762153)a post by Cyber way back about temporarily hosting Vertex's meshes on Y!Groups, but these seem to be down.

Any other sources or links out there, you guys?

I don't know if Gren is on the Skope permission list or not (because I've never had a need to look at the list), but he's got two skeleton meshes of Entwaidamela on the FXForce page, one normal, one burning:  http://frp.unlimited2.net/fxforce/public_html/HEXEDMESHES.html (http://frp.unlimited2.net/fxforce/public_html/HEXEDMESHES.html)

Not sure what happened to my original copy, but I downloaded the client and reinstalled Dark Age of Camelot again. It uses nif files with dds textures zipped into packs inside a mpk file type.

Nifskope shows the nif fine but there is no instance I could find showing the texture assigned. I was able to assign a texture in Blender but couldn't get it to appear on the nif.

To get the nif textured, I had to export from nifskope as a obj. import into milkshape, assign textures, export out as obj, import to Blender and then out as nif.

Hopefully there's a better way. I can send the test skeleton original nif with texture to anyone who wants to look at it and see if they know how to get the texture assigned without going through hoops.

Polycount on the game nifs look compatable with FF. Final version with polycount and texture applied shown below. The rib cage is solid but it looks like the alpha worked for me this time. Not rigged as yet.

Wow, that sounds like a pain in the tail. Is the Texture imbedded into the Nif File? Maybe that's what is giving you grief. If there is no Texture actually referenced, then I would assume that the Mesh is just not Skinnable, but would probably work fine for Skoping purposes.

Texture is not imbedded but in a separate file pack with textures for other models. When I applied the texture in milkshape it aligned correctly.

Upped the original DAOC skeleton nif and texture to the yahoo group if people want to check it out

Found out that after applying the texture in Blender, I also had to map input to UV. The texture still won't show until you reload the nif, but its there.

Cyber, you have some rattling bones in your mailbox. Rigged to male_basic.

There are a bunch different Nazis that Carravaggio had previewed in his skin thread found in the Archives. It would really be a shame if these were lost to time. I really hate to go this way, but Carravaggio has not been active on the boards for over a year, has anyone had any communication with him since? My hope is that maybe someone still speaks to him, and that maybe he still has these files, and that maybe he'd be willing to send them out via E-Mail or something.

And DJ, I have to say that I really love the original characters that you have on FRP2. Fantastic designs, and extremely well executed. I really hope that you create more.

Quite a while back, I released this guy as part of the "Marvel Legacy" project.

Unfortunately, when my PC died back in December (?), I had lost all my Hero Files for everything. I was at least able to recover the majority of my Hero Files for the "Marvel Legacy" Characters because I had included them in the Zip Files that I released. However, I am still missing one (At least I think there is only one), and that is for the above Character (ML_Stark_Protocals).

Would anyone happen to have the Hero File I created for this? I downloaded the Zip File from my Yahoo Group and it wasn't included (  :banghead: ). But I was really hoping that maybe I might have sent it out to somebody.

Any help on this would be extremely appreciated. Thank you to everyone in advance.

I'm just taking it nice and easy.  I'm not worried about getting all of the files redone outright.  Heck, I'm not even worried if they're the same.  If a character pops up and I would like to see them in-game, I just make them.  Makes the process fun, quick, and painless. :P

In addition to those listed, there's a few more out there like Blacklash and Stormwatch Prime, Zuludelta did them.

You can find a Blacklash in his Wildcore Group 1 pack here (as well as other goodies): https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/zuludeltaffskinz3/files

You can find Cannon, Fahrenheit and Stormwatch Prime here: https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/zuludeltaffskinz5/files

And the base team of Battalion, Diva, Fuji, Winter and Hellstrike are here: https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/zuludeltaffskinz4/files

ZD did a metric crapton of early Image characters, including a lot of Erik Larsen's Savage Dragon characters and Marc Silvestri's Cyberforce, stuff like that. It pays to go through all of his groups, if folks haven't already. There's a bunch of stuff there....not just Image.

A while back SCD made a killer "Super Adaptoid", and now that I'm on an FX kick, I'm wanting to make some FX specifically for that Skope. I believe SCD used the Mjolnir from one of Gren's "Thor" Meshes that was at "Champions of Freedom", but does anyone know if Gren released any FX for any of the "Thor" Meshes from CoF?

Yes, I believe he did.  I will send the Fx your way, but I will have to scrounge around my FX library for the right textures, first.

The "Thor_Norvell" is perfect. I had forgotten about that one. I just checked it out, and it appears to be mapped the same as the regular Marvel Comics' "Mjolnir".

I am good to go, thanks for reminding me about that one.

What kind of dimensions are you looking for? How big/small? Do you want it taller than it is wide?
Title: Re: Looking for a Mesh Piece.
Post by: Cyber Burn on August 02, 2014, 08:25:55 PM
I'm sure I can re-size it in NifSkope, but ideally, I'm looking for something along the size of Thor's Hammer.

Shape/Dimension wise, I'm looking for something similar to this:

(http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/aa49/Cyber_Burn_33/TriangleProjectile_zpseb893ce2.jpg) (http://s199.photobucket.com/user/Cyber_Burn_33/media/TriangleProjectile_zpseb893ce2.jpg.html)

Mind you, it's only a rough image, but anything close will work. Basically, it's going to be used for a Projectile FX.

Since the piece I was thinking of looks almost exactly like that, then I will just point you in the right direction. Take a look at male_basic_staff by Grenadier (I know you have the mesh  :P ). Click on the staff and unhide the Staff_Tip. It might need a little work (making the sides equal width, shortening the primary point a bit). If it doesn't work as is, let me know. I can adjust it.

Hi guys, I'm looking for another Mesh piece, a kind of short, wide, flat rectangular shape (Maybe about half the height of Captain America's Shield) with a hole in the middle:

It's for a FFvt3R Skope I'm doing. The size and shape don't have to be exact, but if possible, the cut out in the center would be awesome. Thank you.

For future reference I frequently use hollow squares, rectangles and circles be it buckles or chains. Most of the releases I did this year had something to that effect on them if anyone's looking for a piece like that in the future. I'm making that one custom for you right now since it's a quick one CB, I'll have it uploaded somewhere for you in a couple hours.

I had thought about that LP, but I really don't like working with Alpha's, especially when it comes to my Skopes. I'd prefer to find something as close to what I want as possible and then go from there.

none off the top of my head, but it wouldn't be too hard to skope together.
you could add a cape to a mesh with a sword and gun, or a gun to a sword and cape mesh, or even a sword to a gun and cape mesh!
what do you have in mind? I might be able to help.

If possible, I would need it to be in either (TGA) or (DDS) format because my PaintDotNet Program has updated, and the Plug-Ins for Photoshop and Paintshop no longer work.

Hey guys, I'm planning on making Skope for the Blue and White, ninja-type, looking version of Taskmaster. I was wondering anyone had access to a few more Reference Pics.

This is what I have so far: http://www.rapsheet.co.uk/RapSheetMain/Gallery.asp?UniqueId=73

But I was hoping to find a few more Pics that give a back view, and more Pics of his Weapons.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Also, I'm looking for a Male Muscular Mesh with no mouth. I've got Vertex's "Male_Muscular_NoMouth" (I think that's what it 's called), but I was wondering if there was anything a little more buff.

Thanks for any help on these!

Hey Hoss, I actually started the Skope with that Mesh in mind, but since the body of "Deadpool_Muscular" is a little larger than the one the I am Skoping it onto, there's a bit of distortion in the Shoulders/Upper Arms. I'm still trying to adjust it, but I wanted to see if there was anything else available that I may have missed.

All my meshes are set up for the male_basic biped, so there shouldn't be any warping on any Skope.
Title: Re: Cyber's Requests
Post by: hoss20 on October 01, 2014, 10:10:07 PM
What base mesh are you using? Deadpool_Muscular is designed to work with male_basic sized keyframes and pasting Deadpool_Muscular onto a male_basic mesh doesn't distort it at all. Yeah, the biceps are a little stumpy, but that's just part of the "muscular" look.

I took a look at male_muscular_gauntlets, as it has the no mouth look, but the gauntlets, bootcuffs, and belt are all part of the base mesh.

Tomato's Male_DPMask, at first glance, looks a little thicker than male_basic, but when I compared them side by side in Nifskope, I didn't see that much of the difference you might be looking for.

Anyway, if you want to post here or PM me, maybe we can brainstorm a little bit.

One thing I could try is to take the muscular mesh that you want that fits and smooth over the mouth in Blender or take your current mesh and "beef it up" in Blender. I did that for my Anaconda skope using Gren's She-Hulk, to make her thicker.
Title: Re: Cyber's Requests
Post by: Tomato on October 01, 2014, 11:45:14 PM
Actually, Dead pool_muscular is only male_basic-ish. There is some warping that occurs when you try to put it on male basic kkey frames, most notably around the shoulder area like cyber pointed out. It would actually be far easier to modify an existing muscular mesh (like Male_Muscular_TM) to have no mouth (even using just nifskope, assuming you didn't have access to the person who made the mesh to do it for you in two seconds) than it would to try and modify the mesh so it didn't warp.

I appreciate the response guys. This is what I started with for my previous "Shocker" Skope.

Base Mesh: vxSpace_Ghost by Vertex

Male: vxmale_muscled_nomouth by Vertex

Keyframes(Included): vxSpace_Ghost by Vertex mixed with vxDeadshot by Vertex.

This is with "Deadpool_Muscular" Skoped onto it:
(http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/aa49/Cyber_Burn_33/Shocker_Deadpool_Muscular_zps45f7ef9e.jpg) (http://s199.photobucket.com/user/Cyber_Burn_33/media/Shocker_Deadpool_Muscular_zps45f7ef9e.jpg.html)

And this is with "Male_Muscular_TM" Skoped onto it:
(http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/aa49/Cyber_Burn_33/Shocker_Male_Muscular_TM_zps82b022fe.jpg) (http://s199.photobucket.com/user/Cyber_Burn_33/media/Shocker_Male_Muscular_TM_zps82b022fe.jpg.html)

I'm wondering if it's because I'm using a "VX" Mesh as my Base?

I'm going back to this since I always found this Character to be kind of interesting, it's been a lifetime since I've read anything with him, but I still want to Skope him. I think lining the Rings up around the Belt is going to be a pain in the tail, but I'm willing to put the work in to try. That said, I'm having trouble finding pieces that really match what the Rings look like. Most of the circular pieces that I can find are either solid Circles (No hole in the center), and the few pieces that I've found that have the hole in the center, are not really round, more of an octagonal shape. All that said, would anyone have any suggestions on pieces that may fit my purposes?

You could always alpha enable the circles you have, thus allowing you tho make the circular holes via Photoshop.  Not a big fan of that, myself, but it works.

I've mastered rings and buckles and such. Tell me what the base is and I'll make the parts for you, in other words is it male_basic or something else.

The short of making the parts:
For the type of rings/cylinders with holes in them on the arms make a cylinder with increased faces and deleted the center. Most 3d modelling programs I can name however already have built-in scripts that one can use to make extended primitives like torus's (rings) for example and that's obviously the easier way to go. Else, Scarlet Witch Gypsy by Ink is just covered in rings already that can be skoped to wherever else.
Title: Re: Cyber's Requests
Post by: Cyber Burn on October 08, 2014, 09:04:29 PM
 Now I am embarrassed. I had gone through HeroForce and I have no idea how I missed the Rings on the "Scarlet Witch Gypsy" Mesh. But I think those should work for what I want though.

As for what I'm using, it will be a "Male_Basic" base with a mix 'n' match of Keyframes. It will probably be at least another week or so before I would have the time to start Skoping this, but I like to have things set up in advance.

Thanks again SA.

Sorry I wanted to get to this before. Again in most cases any 3d program has an option to make primitive shapes in which case a ring would be made by creating a Tube (Torus for a rounded one). But this is a long way to make one:

1.) Make a cylinder

2.) If it doesn't have 4 diameters make it so by increasing the faces x8 (in Blender it's Edges>Subdivide I think?).

3.) Working from the top view select and delete the innermost diameter of vertices

4.) Still from the top, select one vertice from the new inner diameter thereby selecting both the vertice on the top and the bottom. Merge (Weld) these two together.

5.) Then move around the ring doing the same for every vertice in the inner diameter

6.) Select all of the inner vertices you just merged and scale them out so they meet with the next outer diameter of vertices.

Your have a ring.

I love the insignia, it's like a hodgepodge between some 80's hairband album cover and the Hard Rock Cafe logo. I can totally see that guy flashing the horns and thrashing his head up and down to Dokken right now.

Not really, I'm more into Floyd (High Hopes off Pulse was playing on my mp3 player this week). I was just exposed to hair bands since they were what was an when I was " waves hand by knees " a kid. We had Head Bangers Ball and AlTV, not much air time for Floyd then. My coming of age band was actually NIN. These days my favored music is retrogame soundtracks.

BTW do you have Colonel Les Claypool's Fearless Flying Frog Brigade? I'm speaking of the two disk set that was recorded live at the Great American Music Hall, not the studio album Purple Onion (this is a pretty good album though as well). The first set ends on Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Irons version) and the second is Animals covered live in it's entirety. Real classy stuff and must own for Floyd fans imo.

Now I'm feeling kind of out of place, me listening more to James Taylor, Chicago, Carole King, and such. Although, I do have copies of "Are You Experienced?" and "Dark Side of the Moon" (like who doesn't?).

Anyway, preview pic of Pollux at Skin-A-Rama.

Chicago and Billy Joel were some of my favorites back in the day, along with Pink Floyd, they were right up there with Queen and Journey.

Pollux is fantastic!  This is very much appreciated. Thank you.

Never bit on Journey. My dad tried to get me into it. He bought me an Atari game based on one of their songs. Sounds silly I know but we also had a Porky's game complete with a naked woman sprite chasing your character about a shower room. Atari was odd. But that was about the sum of my experience with the band.

I loved my Atari, but Nintendo really had me hooked with the Final Fantasy series.

As for my taste in Music, much of what I was exposed to, was because my Dad would blast his music in the Garage relentlessly. Most of his collection was from the late 70's to early 80's. The rest was Mariachi music. It didn't help that the Garage was right next to my bedroom.  :banghead:

I think over the years, I've developed a pretty eclectic taste in music, mainly due to the variety of people that I've been exposed to. I have to say, I consider myself fortunate that I've never fallen into one category of taste, because now I have the option of exposing my Children to the same variety of music that I was.

But getting back on topic. While going through my old stuff, I found pics of these guys, they were some of my very first Skopes/Skins. I remember I had done them as a request for someone for a Mod that was never released, but I'm feeling a bit nostalgic, and would like to have these guys back in my ranks. They've long since vanished from my collection though.

Diversified interest in music here as well. It more comes down to my taste for the individual songs rather than the genre. Except country. I have no distaste for it overall but short of a few songs it just isn't my season. My favorite band BTW is Portishead.

Never seen those, must have been during my hiatus? Really sharp work for early work though.

I don't remember when I previewed these guys, but it would have been quite a few years back. Looking at them, they should be pretty simple to replicate, but it's the principle of the matter that makes me more interested in the originals.

Onto the next Request, does anyone have any suggestions for something that could be used as a Candy Cane? Maybe a hand-held Sword size?

Thank you for any help getting me in the right direction.

Thank you for replying DJ. I had checked out both, Ink's, and Tommyboy's, "Riddler" Meshes. Ink's is about the size I want, but it's more of a straight, rectangular piece, whereas Tommyboy's is rounder, which is more of what I'm looking for, but it doesn't quite have that "Candy Cane" shape. I tend to fail miserably when messing with Blender, but maybe I could try to alter the shapes of the canes to get what I'm looking for. Thanks again DJ.

Thanks DJ, I know there were a couple of variants to the "Pulp Versatile", but the only cane I saw when looking was a straight one. But I think I found an alternate solution, I found a Candy Cane (.Obj) File on one of the 3d Model sites. I'm going to see if I can get that to work with what I want. Thanks again for your help DJ.

This is Marvel Comics' "Grand Director", an old Foe of Captain America, who had also worn the Captain's Costume for a while. I had Skoped/Skinned this guy once before, but I was never quite happy with it (As I've always said, I am not a Skinner), and I've always intended to re-do this Character. I finally found my Notebook of Recipes that was misplaced when my House flooded last year. So, now I am hoping to work in some of the Skopes I want to do for myself in between filling Requests for others.

Now I tried Skinning this Skope...at least 3 or 4 times...but I just couldn't hit "Delete" fast enough. Even the best result was embarrassing at best. I still need to adjust the Keyframes to better fit the individual Character, but while I am doing that, would anyone be interested in Skinning this for me please? I would be very much in your debt, thank you.

As I recall his outfit was white with the red armband which contained a swastika?  I haven't a lot of time to spare, but I could try to whip it up for you.

So quite a while ago, I had Skoped a couple of Youngblood Members for a Skinner to fill a Request. Unfortunately, the Skinner seems to have left the Community. Now I just happened to find these while I was taking a break from Studying for a Final, but I think it would be a shame for these to go to waste. So just out of curiosity, would anyone be interested in Skinning these two guys.

On a side note, since these guys were hardly ever drawn the same, any takers are welcome to take any creative liberties that they see fit. The Skopes are for FFvt3R, and if it's alright, I'd like to have them hosted on the "Force of Paradox" Website.

I'll apologize in advance for the pic heavy post, but just out of curiosity, does anyone happen to know if there has ever been a Skin made for the Character "Next Man" from Comico Comics? He's the one in Purple in the images below, and was kind of an obscure Character, with only a 4 or 5 issue run in the mid- 80's. I only have one or two issues of the series, but they are buried in my Garage, and actually finding an image online took nearly forever. If anyone happens to have this guy sitting in their collection, could you please send him my way, I would definitely appreciate it.

Thank you.

Strip Mr. Monster of most of the extras and you have a Male Heavy with a gun.

I've been playing with a couple of Tomato's basic meshes and transplanting the body to meshes with guns. Not wholly successful, but it looks promising.

I also haven't given up on Next Man.

Regular Tom Heavy Versatile has some armored stuff, but one named Male Heavy Armored seems to have escaped me also.

Some of Tommy's first meshes, I believe, didn't have a T or TV on them, like Male Narrowcape Nobelt. I have seen at least one other that had Tommy's name in the Readme but no other indication that it was his.

What are you trying to find a skin for, and have you thought of Tommy's TVH Iron Man meshes?

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And secondly, a kind of oddball request. Has anyone ever Meshed or Skinned "Oscar the Grouch"? I would so love to use him specifically for target practice in the Rumble Room. It doesn't matter if he's in or out of his trash can, keyframes don't matter, I just want to tear into him.

I would be extremely grateful for any help acquiring an Oscar the Grouch Mesh/Skope/Skin.

Haha, what did Oscar ever do to you?

As for the skin, unless that's the standard for Ren's Wildcat, I'm afraid I don't seem to have it.  Sorry!

I won't post that one in public, but believe me, I have more than enough reason to want to take him to the rumble room.
