So, I've taken a small break of skoping teen mutants, just to do a group of young Marvel heroes which I've never seen in game.
Here is one of the skopes I've been working on lately ... and my first attempt of a skin to go with it.
The youngest member of Power Pack:
Big thanks to Hoss20 who helped me out with the skope, getting rid of a belt of the original mesh. The skin was done using parts of Tomato's newly released base skins, so thanks to him too.
the skopers are creating great skins, and soon will no longer need us, the revolution has begun we're being replaced arghhhhhhhhhhh
(http://i.imgur.com/COXsoKY.gif)
I love the character choice(s). I'm kind of surprised Power Pack isn't in the game, either. There have been attempts in the past, but it never came through.
The skin looks pretty darn good! It's significantly better than my first attempt at a skin, that's for sure. :)
Looking good windblown.
I like it. I'm still trying to get a skin done on my American Eagle skope. I hope it comes out half as good as your Energizer.
Her face looks really cute. Very nice skin for your first attempt Windblown. :)
Of course i like the skope as well.

Replaced implies that we can be gotten rid of. We've been creating content for a point and click PC game that came out the same year as
The Santa Clause 2. We might as well admit that the only way to stop us from skinning is to cut off all our heads and impale us with wooden stakes.
I like it! And a worthy character to see added to FF.
Seeing the placeholder skins you do for all your skopes I've never had any doubt you could create full skins. Glad to see you finally tried.

Bah! Speak for yourself! Not even that would stop me!
Very nice!
I'm glad I was able to help in any capacity. After seeing a bit of a sneak peek while helping with the skope, I have to say that the finished product looks great. Nice job on the shading and the face is very well done.

Great skope and a great skin. And I have to say that your first skin outclasses my more recent skins. Very impressive. I am really hoping to see more.
Wow this is great. I really hope you do the rest of the team!
Thank you all for your comments :)
Here is the second one:

I hope I can give her some flying melee animations, but I'm still not sure if I will be able to do it with these keyframes.
I can't wait to see the boys. Really amazing work with the skope.
Lightspeed looks great and I am loving that skope! I like that rainbow effect.
the one thing i would suggest is using a slightly lighter colour of the costumes to add an element of highlights to them
Looking good!
In addition to UE's advice I'd suggest where you have lines on a skin like on the gauntlets and boots, add a lighter coloured line just below it. You can check any of my skins for examples. It creates an illusion of depth.
Ah, windblown - expanding the brand, I see! These skins look adorable.
Adorable! And I'm super jealous right now!
Your first and second skins make my years of barely worthy of being called skinning look like downright garbage.
I'm really looking forward to the boys too!
Never thought that I would see the Power Pack team in FF. I'm assuming that you plan on doing the whole team? Do you have any plans for Franklin Richards? If I remember correctly, he hung around the team very so often.
Thanks everyone,

Yes, I'm going to do the four Power siblings for sure. Franklin has a good chance too ;)
Aaand here is the first of the boys:

I've tried to follow TUE's and Pod's advices with the skin. As for the skope, here there are a couple of special animations to show his powers:

Big thanks again to Hoss20 for widening the waist of the mesh to have a more boyish look.
Happy new year!!
Amazing. I mean...just wow. I can't wait for the release.
Looks great, and awesome job on the skope.
I can already see little improvements through your newest skin.
Geez, you are just throwing down some amazing stuff. That flying effect would be awesome for DC Comics' "Metamorpho".
And I'll agree with Pod, your skin work is improving as well.
Wow ... I've been waiting someone to do Power Pack for years and your work on these characters looks amazing. Congrats man ... fantastic stuff!
And today, the last of the siblings, the oldest Power Pack member:
This time, I've skoped the gaunlets instead of skinning them in the body. I can't decide how they looks better, what do you think?
And here is my attempt to do the aura that appears when he uses his powers:

Thanks again to Hoss20 for the body modifications :)
Definitely skoped.
It adds depth.
Not familiar with the characters but they look great. Love the fx work you have done as well.
I'd need to see some reference for the design you're doing to know what works best. but the skoped look is good.
Great job on the Power kids.
Fantastic work on the Power Pack! I also agree that skoped gauntlets look better.
I love the new skoped bracers. Also, I'm really glad to see these character FINALLY done and so expertly. These skopes are works of art. I can't wait to see what else you come up with.
Thank you everyone,
I have a last skin related to Power Pack, as Cyber said previously in the thread, Franklin Richards hung around the team very often as:
Besides Franklin, I've updated the skins of the rest of the team, and skoped the bracers on. This is how they look now:
Let me know what you think, any suggestion will be appreciated.
Those all look great! You've even got nice little facial expressions. And I love that hair for Franklin.
Power Pack looks amazing
Very cool stuff WB
Fantastic work on all of the members of Power Pack, Windblown!
Never thought I would see those kids in Freedom Force with such love and amazing work done on their skopes and keyframes. I'd love to give them all unique voices but they never have been given an animated series which needs to be done since Disney can pull them out of their Marvel vault. It's THE children show already waiting to be made. They were given a TV pilot movie but it's very hard to find anywhere except on Youtube I believe.
- CQ
The group does look a lot better with the arm bracers skoped on. Great job on them.
It's really cool to see these kids showing up in FF. Thank you.
My only advice is to release them. ;)
Thank you guys!
I'll release them as soon as possible :)
All I can say is those kids creep the hell out of me....
Windblown,
These are awesome! I have always like these kids and you have done a great job with them!! Keep up the great work!
Respectfully,
I love everything about this thread, but yes, as DJ said, those kids are sorta' creepy! ;) Seriously though, those skins are really nice. WB is a man of many talents! (TUE's joke from the first page made my day!)
It's been a while since I've previewed anything here because real life is preventing me of doing FF stuff lately, but today I have a preview, an updated version of an old skope: Katara (from the 'Avatar, the last Airbender' series).
Katara is a waterbender (she has the ability to control water). I gave her an animation where she uses her water whip (using the water of her canteen):
Spoiler
(http://i1300.photobucket.com/albums/ag94/Windblow85/th_Katara_zpsb9f62c70.jpg) (http://i1300.photobucket.com/albums/ag94/Windblow85/Katara_zpsb9f62c70.mp4)
I'm planning to give her more waterbending animations in the future.
I have several other projects in progress besides this one, but I don't have much free time lately so they'll be done more slowly than I'd like.
Man, windblown, your skoping skill is just fantastic. That water animation is just tops! That must've took a while.
That's awesome Windblown!
Hey you got Katara skinned! And she looks great! I especially like the face, you've captured the character there.
I really loved Avatar. One of the best cartoons of all time in my opinion.
I don't know anything about her but she still looks fantastic, great job WB
The Katara skope is great but I'm really liking the skin as well.
Thank you guys,

I completely agree with you, I loved the show too. I'm planning to skope/skin the Gaang. Speaking of which, I have a new preview today:
For those of you who don't know, Sokka is Katara's brother, the only non-bender of the main group of characters and one of the funniest characters of the show.
I still have to work in the animations for this skope (and Katara's).
Oh, man! I'm loving these skopes, Windblown!
Skin looks great WB. Sokka was a lot of fun.
Thank you guys, I have a new preview today:
Toph is the Earthbender of the Gaang, she is a blind girl who uses her Earthbending powers to "see" through vibrations in the ground. I though this one was going to be the toughest to skope, but I think it came out pretty good. I still have to work on the keyframes, but she has some special animations like this passive defense:
Spoiler

The Computer I'm using won't let me see the video, but the Skope itself looks pretty nice. I've never gotten into "Avatar", so I don't know the Character, but as always, you do some really nice work.
I LOVE IT!
Your stuff is UNBELIEVABLY smooth. I actually feel bad about myself for having worked on FFVTTR stuff for as long as I have and not getting near the level of your able to get to.
That is great! You've done an awesome job on these Avatar characters.
Finally got to see the video, all I can say is that you are killing these Skopes something fierce. Nicely done Windblown.
Great job on the skope and the fx is "rock solid".
Thank you guys!

You shouldn't! I really like your work and I wouldn't be able to bring to the game some of the characters that you did lately (like all of those lanterns).
Also, being a skoper, I only can use pre-existing pieces, while you know how to create them and modify them ;)
Thanks. I believe you'll probably cross that thresh hold soon enough as well though (becoming able to make pieces and modify them) and bet you'll be as adept and sharp at it as you are at skinning and skoping too.
Your ability as a skinner are matching your ability as a skopper. I'm really impressed.
Thank you AfghanAnt :)
I have something new today: my first photoskin. This week the last episode of Arrow aired here and I thought of doing an Oliver Queen skin to celebrate a great season. This is also my first DC skin:

Elizabeth Olsen as the Scarlet Witch.
Most of the clothes textures (and models) are from the Marvel Heroes game, adapted to FF by SickAlice for his great AoU Scarlet Witch (http://catman.freedomforceforever.com/pages/avengers.html), which is the base for this skope.
Looks pretty good. The face might be a little shifted to the left though.

Good skins Wb! Really good and i hope to see more, always appreciated your works.
I might add some highlighting to the bottom of the armpit wings and maybe something on the w emblem to make it pop out, maybe. Just a possibility because you know what you really want the skin to look like.
Is that face one that's....we used to call it "baked" but I think it's called something else now...via Blender/ZBrush/Max? I know with some work you can create fleshed out skin work in the programs somehow - def know you can make top notch normal maps and such through them programs. I'm pretty sure that was how Valander made his base skin years ago...just asking cause I might want to study the work a bit to learn and would give me an idea for potentially recreation of certain section I like/might consider employing in my own style...
Feedback would be I'm envious of your work and most especially how clean yours is.
I really like it, nice clean design and the face/hair is just beautiful.

Sorry, but I'm not sure what you're asking here. The head was imported with Blender, then, I sculpted it a bit in Blender too and then I reskinned it with Photoshop. Not sure if I'm answering your question, but I can send you a couple of files if you want to take a look of the head.

I think so, I've just sent you the files to the email address that I had. Let me know if you don't get them!
Great job on Lorelai! That's some cool stuff happening with the hair.

Got them with no problem, mate! Thanks a ton for letting me take a look and study what you did! Hopefully, i can pick something up from them that will push my style closer to realism - which is what i have been slowly pushing for over the years - and further from the animated look.
I had a new computer crash and I lost some files (Lorelei keyframes for example)
I have a new computer now and I'm trying to get back to FF. I still have a couple of characters that I hadn't previewed before the crash and were saved from it.
First one: Cecilia Reyes:

Glad you're back.
Like almost everything I've seen you do, excellent work.
I wonder how much work over the years has been lost to crashes? I try to back up everything onto cds and sd cards, but I've still lost things, and I've seen more than once that other members have lost work as well.
I'm glad that Ewzzy stepped in recently to help identify and preserve some of the older work, and that Daglob was doing the same before we lost him, and we have Wyldfyre's site as well.
Looking forward to seeing your work bring hosted at Heroforce.
Wow, I missed a lot of cool stuff! Are you thinking of using your animated hair-skope for a Medusa eventually? That seems a perfect fit.
I love your avatar; beautiful skin and skope! The work on the face and the texture work for the costume are great!
always nice to see new things from you Wb, you are basically at a professional level now .
Thanks!

Crystal is the only inhuman that I like, so Medusa is not in my plans, but when Lorelei is released, it should be easy to skin her for a skinner. Lorelei hair is weaker than Medusa's though, so maybe she´ll need more animations.
