Title: PFX list
Post by: abenavides on March 04, 2015, 02:08:10 AM
Is there anywhere to get (or does anyone have) the list of FX in PFX?

I found this (FX Pack Read Me) in the main FFvt3R Folder:

---------------
PFX 1.2 (216 custom FX for FFvTTR)

Firstly, I want to say thanks to everyone that has made these fx possible over the years and this includes making nifs, sending me textures, or for allowing your files to be edited.

Special thanks to Ultimate Evil for allowing me to use his Captain America FX!
---------------

Important Notes:

1. These FX are for FFvTTR only. They will not work for Freedom Force (FF1).

2. To access these fx, you will need to create or edit a character and go to their animation tabs. This pack doesn't add new powers, just visual animations.

3. If you have custom fx installed which are not in this pack, ezfx, or ffx, then you'll need to back up your files before installing and merge them.
---------------

Special Sound Credits:

Thanks to Electro for sending me his COH Sound pack
Of course, thanks to City Of Heroes/Cryptic Studios

But it doesn't give details on who did what.

I may be OK with the credits, but just need a list of the actual 216 FX.

If you create a Dummy folder, say, in your "Documents" Folder, you can run the Exe File and point it to the Dummy Folder. That will show you what FX are in the PFX Pack.

You're absolutely right CB (duh!)
The funniest part is I actually had done just that (installed PFX to a junk folder on my desktop) and forgot why I'd done it!
thx

Follow up question - I know some of the FX in PFX are Conduit's - anyone know which ones? (I would check FRP2 but it's down)
Same question for Syn..

Don't know how helpful this will be, but it might give you something: http://web.archive.org/web/20130410212827/http://frp.unlimited2.net/fx/

i'm going to guess that this is for the next ezfx you said you were doing. can I ask how many fx you're looking at including?

sorry. i think that came out wrong. i was curious if you were including some of the newer fx. maybe by windblown, or hoss20, or laughing paradox? i really didn't mean to come across as being greedy, just curious.

Amazo, no worries.
For EZFX 5.2 (for FF) - I've added 106 fx (so far), mainly CyberBurn's 50 and the rest are mine which are not spectacular but are necessary (IMO) different color variations of FX I've done previously.

For EZFX 6.1 (for FFv3R) - I've added about 8 of mine (with plans for another 40 or so), 158 by Cyber Burn, and the 216 in PFX - so 382 so far.
I'm happy to add more but as I said when I started this, people need to send 'em to me like Cyber did (DAT, FX files) - I have no idea what's out there.

You could try add red-web_tangle power.. I can check if i can make one..

Until there I found out that we can copy many ffx from Freedom Force to Freedom Force Vs Third Reich.

There are too many ffx there. So much good thigs.

Copy them how?

Enter in the Freedom force folder. Start the game, see the name of the ffx in the game.

Remember the ffx name that you saw and that you want.

Go to generic folder inside the game  and copy the FFX folder TO the generic folder in FREEDOM FORCE VS THIRD REICH.

After that you have to use the program FFEDIT with Freedom Force vs Third Reich.
There, you make the ffedit insert the ffx in FREEDOM FORCE VS THIRD REICH, where you will have to ''tell' the program where is the new ffx folder you have just copied to the game so that the game may recognize it.

You also can do the same thing with some mods, where, just like Cyberburn said, you can find many other good ffx there and copy them using the same process.

You can also make your own ffx. Recently, I made an interesting ffx, copying a shark from a mesh I found on internet. So, I put this shark in the game as a FFX and I used it for Aquaman, making it looks like Aquaman was using his telepathic powers for summoning the sharks....

Incredible  Bulk, go to ALEX FORTRESS. http://www.alexff.com/goodies.php

Install EZ FX 5.1 (you will see that in Alex fortrees). Install it for  :ff:
There is more than 900 FX there!!! install in  :ff:

After that,
Start the game  :ff: and look at all the fx that will be there. Take  look at the one you liked and you would like to have in your  ffvstr:.  After that, choose the one you liked by the names you saw after starting the game.

Then, copy these folders from the GENERIC  folder from :ff: to the GENERIC folder from :ffvstr:
Do the same thing with the textures to one game for another.

After doing that. with each one of the fx you liked Go to FFEdit and install them manually. I recomend you make the process with one by one of the fx.

Good luck
