However, I created this thread, to talk about what we've known about since the first film came out. There will be spoilers ahead and since I'm talking about a movie that hasn't come out, we can assume there going to be spoilers through the conversation. That said, earlier this month, James Gunn and Chris Pratt both talked about the sequel being more emotional and about fathers. But lately, not sure any of you saw, but there was a casting call put out and I guess this info could be included in the inevitable Infinity War thread, but here's the link:

If this is real, then they're already looking to cast Magus as a villain in Avengers: Infinity War. Of course if THIS is to follow anything close to the storyline we assume they're following with the Infinity Gauntlet, we know Adam Warlock will play a role as well. On top of that, James Gunn also confirmed Volume 2 is currently casting. We've also been told that the GotG team itself will have another member in Volume 2. Could it be Yondu? Nebula? Or could it be revealed that the Star Lord's father who won't be the same from the comics, will be Adam Warlock, who has been a member of the team. I mean would they cast Magus and not include Adam Warlock? Would Adam Warlock be played by another actor, even though Magus is AW's evil double?
By the way, apparently they've signed Al Pacino in the sequel too.... ?!

Don't know much about the Ravagers. So I can't say which he could possibly fit.
Possibly "Czar-Doom"... maybe someone new?

Not much given away, but it's looking good.
It's their game to lose at this point. The first was so much fun, and this cast of characters is just golden. They'd have a hard time NOT making a good movie. :D

I think with this one ad, they managed to recapture everything that people loved about the first film. The humor, the character, and the action. It's all there.
It's a great teaser for the movie and I hope the film itself is just as good. Probably will be.

I've was waiting to see Mantis! She was actually one of my favourite characters in the comic. I was disappointed she didn't make it into the first one or much of Bendis' run. I hope she has a decent sized role.

Haha! Ohh man, this looks perfect. I think they are definitely on track for another movie that is just tons of fun.
I liked this trailer more than the original teaser trailer. This one feels like it's got more of the original's charm and humor.
