I dunno. Probably it's traditional by now. Despite harkening back to Blue Beetle's hoodie days, I just never cared for this. It's better than some I've seen.
It's alright. I was never too much a fan of it, but hey, it's waaaay better than his newest costume *gags*
2: I toyed with giving this a hate, but I decided that most of the costume is actually more or less okay, but that stupid cutoff sweatshirt OVER spandex is just so incredibly 90s and so incredibly stupid that it could cover over a multitude of virtues. +1 for pointless pouches!
3 - I was on the fence between meh and like. The hoodie is bothersome to me. If the blue became part of the spandex design it could have been pretty good. The eyes also could be improved.
I don't mind the pouches too much because after all Spidey does need plenty of room for those webbing cartriges.
I have always been super fond of this costume, but even then I couldn't justify more than a 4.
This was an easy Love for me. It's actually a pretty important character and costume for me.
When I was a kid I always liked superheroes. I'd watch the cartoons, but I'd only come across a handful of actual comics. The first comic I bought myself was Maximum Clonage part 3 which heavily featured the Scarlet Spider, expertly drawn by Mark Bagley. As such it's always had a special place in my heart. A couple years ago I got the complete Clone Saga trades and it's a mess of a story but I still really enjoyed it.
Beyond emotional connection, I just like this design. The blue shirt over the crimson body suit is a nice contrast and the wrists and belt help take it a step away from the usual Spider-Man look.
It probably is just a Like, but that connection gives it the Love.
