Title: Cover rating Amazing Spiderman #129

Here is a topical one,the debut of Punisher and Jackal. We do see some homage to it every 2 weeks and that ruined a lot of its charm, but its a pretty good idea and it does convey a sense of danger, but something stops me from giving it a 5 tbh.Its a good idea, but not really a great one.
Cover by Gil Kane,John Romita and Gaspar Saladino.

Yeah, good but not great. I feel that the abundance of text hurts it too. What if it was just Spidey in the crosshairs with the text "Introducing The Punisher" or "Lookout, Spiderman, for... The Punisher", or "Target: Spiderman" on the cover?

I gave it a 2, but it might have been a 3.
This cover has never really worked all that well for me. I see what they're going for but it always looked like I'm seeing two different panels rather than a single cover. The two images just seem disjointed.
That and the garish yellow background just looks silly.

It's ok. It did the job it was intended to do, even if it has a few flaws. I'm not a Punisher fan (quite the opposite, actually) but it's fine as an introduction.
