Title: Music Availability
Post by: BentonGrey on February 10, 2017, 04:11:42 PM
Howdy guys, I've got an odd question for y'all.  My FF installation is customized six ways from Sunday, as you might imagine.  Now, that occassionally presents problems, as I'm not sure what is native and what I've done to it, which can be troublesome when creating mods.  I'm not always sure what my players will have.

In the default installation  :ffvstr:, do you have the music for both games, or just the latter?  Would someone be so kind as to check their Data/Sounds/Musak folder and see?

I don't see a Musak folder at all in my Data/Sounds folder.

If you know which .ff file it comes from, you can check that. I tried looking for a Musak folder in them, but I either missed it or it's not there (which it should be, right?)

Musak is in "music.ff" in  :ffvstr:, inside the archive it's sounds/musak.

Not sure how to tell if there's both though. Mine are single archived, 01-12+FF0+m99 here.

Thanks guys!  Unfortunately, that answers my question.  Not everyone has FF1 music, which means several missions in MA and other recent releases are going to be silent for a lot of folks!  :P  Well, I guess I better add those songs in and release an update.
