Title: Max 2015-2016 tools

Has anyone tried the new Niftools and/or what success/findings have they had with them? I got them last night (2016 here) but haven't had much time to play with them. Only imported Capeman from  :ffvstr: as a test, he imported perfectly with everything as it should be.

You mean it pulls in all the animations, bones, physique information, and keynotes in addition to geometry?  Does it preserve names and the whole bit?  If not, it offers me no advantages over Max 4 or 5 and the disadvantage of having to re-learn the UI.

Wondering most of that myself. It imported the entire structure fine yes, so far. I'll report back on exportation when I do some more testing with it. I was more baffled to find it was still being developed. Nifskope as well is back in development now too.
