The Skindex found!

Went thru my disks today and found an archive I had made of FF skins dating back to late June of 2002. There are about 250 skins, mostly from the Skindex. This was before Marvel threw their tantrum, so their stuff hadn't been deleted yet.I'm sure that some are still available but some might have been lost to time. I'll make a list of the skins and who made them if anyone is interested and then post them somewhere if there's enough demand. All together the archive is a little over 100 megs.

Speaking as someone who has lurked, then posted, around here for years and years, I ache to see what's on that CD -- I remember the Skindex and many of the old-school skinners, and I'd be totally curious to see what you've got there.

Id like to see them if only for nostalgia and curiosity sake. To be honest, skinning has advanced far too much for me to want to use more than a few of the most obscure characters in my game.

I remember the Skindex from when I was still playing The Sims.  All of those super hero skins for FF is what made me decide to actually try the game.

I'd love to see all that old stuff again.  I was fighting for hard drive space back then so I only grabbed what I knew I wanted.

You wouldnt happen to have any of that stuff from the old Freedom Force Center, would ya? You know, the one from when the game FIRST came out? Theres some stuff there that I actually WOULD like to get and use.

Maybe.... A lot of the files have no nfo. Check the list and when I put them up for download there might be some in the mix. After 8 years, it's hard to tell

I, too was strapped for HD space, as well as having a limited download capability, and got only what I really, really, really wanted. I'd love to see what was on the disk. Heck, I don't care if I might have some of them, I'd like a copy of it.

Besides, just because they are old, it doesn't mean that you can't learn something from them.

Usually you have to wait some minutes, but if you log off you will be able to download again as soon you log in.

Usually its a 15 minute wait between downloads

   Thanks for this, Randomdays. I was able to download all 4 files one right after the other (5, including the list). I only had the 30-60 second wait in the queue for a Free User. By the way, the Marvel A-H listing on this page is no longer showing as a link.
