I'd love to take part in this, but I'll be busy Saturday night, and I'll be away all next week (Sunday to Sunday). When I get back, I fully intend to put some effort into promoting more FR community involvement, as a community, in CO.

Saturday during the day I might be busy; otherwise I'd be happy to participate. However, with people in differing time zones involved, we'd need to clarify exactly when.

I'll be home most of the day Saturday...so I can play almost anytime; I'm in NYC so I'm Eastern Standard Time. My highest level character is 24th in MC or should we run our kid characters...that one is 16th lvl.

I might be on, depending on the time + If I have work that day (which is likely... I've been scheduled Friday and Saturday nights the last few weeks, I expect this week will be no different.)

I'm relatively flexible this weekend. The Rogue is my highest at 25, but I have a good range of lower characters, from 6 up to 17. I'm afraid my kid character is just level 7 or so.

I haven't been playing lately due to the fact I got Mass Effect off Steam for $4.99 during their holiday sale and have been playing it, but I should be back to CO fairly soon.

I'm out until they add new content to the game. I would like to come back though. CoX Going Rogue might change my mind. Oh, and I'm getting back into

now that I know how to skope, and even modify verticies on meshes.

Oh man I've been neglecting CO... FF too, come to think. I had a big ole' computer change up and the only game I've played lately is Resident Evil 5. Mostly I've been working with music.

Weekends. Gosh. I do stuff most weekends. Usually I'm most free in the middle of the day... Well I'll see what happens I guess. Hopefully I can turn up at some mass gathering. I quite like the game a bit better playing with pals. It sure is easier, at least.

I need to do the mission to finally put away my 3rd Nemesis on Midnight Crusader, but am working on designing my 4th first.

Anyone got any ideas what powerset would be best for USC Lane Kiffin, and which villain type best represents "jerk"?

I'm afraid I don't get the reference. However, I've just reached level 25, so I finally get my nemesis! What advice do y'all have in creating "Lord Darkholme," both in the CC and in terms of powersets?

He's your standard comic formula of an "energy vampire" who gets stronger and faster by sucking the "life energy" out of someone. He also has some mental powers, but those are not as important as the life sucking and strength, methinks. The CC is giving me trouble too, because apparently you can't have a cravate with a jacket, and I'm not very good at improvising. Unko, I'd really like your input on this, especially.

As far as our meeting, I'm thinking Saturday afternoon, around 2:00 central time? What does everyone think about that?

Well, I'd take claw, bite when you can get it. Life drain, obviously. Some super strength moves. Then there are a few ego powers you can take. He's a bit all over, but I like characters like that better, honestly. You can even eventually take the cold power that turns you into mist! Gosh, I love that power!

Oh wait... you're making him as a nemesis so you are stuck to one set. Dangit! Why'd they do that to us? Terrible.

I'm going to see if I can't make him in the CC right now, actually.

Awesome Unko! I can't wait to see what you come up with. Yeah, it sorta stinks that you can't give them a bit more definition in terms of powers. What set would be best?

I dunno what powerset I would give him. Supernatural, unfortunately, has all that chain whip mumbo jumbo. Maybe just strength or telepathy if you want to go that way.

Two powersets I recommend avoiding giving Nemesis:

Gadgeteering and Darkness.

I made my first Nemesis Gadgeteering, and all she ever did was use tractor beam, chainsaw gauntlet, and orbital cannon. Occasionally would use the experimental blaster (I even got teddy bear'd once or twice), but not too often. The orbital cannon is easy to avoid, because the Nem version doesn't have Anvil of Dawn on it and a Gadget Nem doesn't have a root or hold.

I don't have any experience with them myself, but I've heard Darkness is bad because they have Lifedrain. If you don't have a hold or a power that can knock out an enemy fast, I'd say avoid Darkness for that reason. If you do make a Darkness Nemesis, DON'T give their henchmen the same powerset. (I've heard a Power Armor Nem with PA henchmen is also brutal - I know someone who went with that for one of their Nems and they regretted it bigtime)

My 3 Nemesis (Nemeses? Nemesises? Nemesi?) so far have been:

Lady Black - Gadgeteering Maniac with Soldiers armed with military weapons.

Doctor Braincus - Might Mastermind with Robot martial artists.

Choppin' Broccoli - Single Blade Mastermind with Lizardmen martial artists. (Anyone get the name?)

I was joking about the USC Lane Kiffin thing for my next Nemesis. My next one is probably going to be Power Armor with Pirate or Mafia henchmen. No idea on the henchmen powerset, but it won't be martial arts, power armor or darkness.

That's very different from my own experiences. My Gadgeteering nemesis is a lot of fun, and very challenging. My Supernatural nemesis, by contrast, is wimpy and boring.

GM - Dana Carvey? Golden!

I also agree with the Darkness power set as being bad for a Nemesis. He really ticked me off at first with lifedrain, but the minions were pretty easy, detourne_me can take out mobs quickly with AoE powers.
I really like the Count, BG any other time you want a partner to take him out, i'm game.

:EDIT: I didn't want to tripple post, so I'll edit this and hope people see it. Will anyone be up for some adventuring this afternoon/evening? I've got some time off and would prefer not to spend ALL of it working on my thesis.
