Ok, I've seen this question enough times to finally rewrite the tutorial. So, for those that want to install sounds and found themselves having trouble or difficulty, this is for you.
==================

1. Collect the sound files you'll be installing into FFedit for the FX of your choice, and place them in the "Sounds" folder.

2. Open FFedit and go to the Sounds Tab.
     a. You may need to set up the Sounds path in the Options Tab to point to your "Sounds" folder first.

3. Under the Sounds Tab, click "new."

4. In the dialog box that pops up, type in "fx_[your FX name]_#"
     a. Where the # sign is, you may type in any whole number from 1 to 3. The number determines when your sound file will play. 1= start, 2= core/middle, and 3= end.

5. After you have set up the entry, add in the sound file(s) in the "wave files" box.
     a. You may then play with the sound options until it fits your needs.

6. Hit save. If all is done correctly, you should hear the sound in FFedit and in game.
==================

So there you go. This will also find it's way onto FRP2 as a "JIC" measure.

Thanks PV. My sound pathway was wrong and that did the trick. I had the wav file in the FFX sounds folder and the pathway was set up for the regular sounds pathway. Awesome! I learned something new today. Thanks again.
