Was there ever a chart in showing the how much Strength was/is required to lift a specific weight in the game?

I'm going to scale my FFX game so that 5 is the average attribute score, rather than 3 or 4, and then I'm going to adjust the weights of in-game items to reflect this change.

Thanks.

guys like batman, daredevil, ironfist, and cap i give a 3(normal).that way they cant lift cars and rip up street light poles, ect...!their punch magnitude is always low with low stun and knock-back except cap.i make his stun and knock back a medium because of his super soldier thing.they all have low so that they have a VERY hard time damaging, stunning, and knocking back guys like colossus and the thing.

You may be thinking about something like

strength    liftable mass (kg)    liftable mass (lbm)
10  0
217  37
394  207
4260  572
5533  1173
6932  2050
71470  3233
82161  4754
93017  6637
104050  8910
11*5270  11595
12*6689  14715
13*8314  18290

* The list goes beyond 10 to account for HEAVY LIFTER, which effectively adds 3 to a character's strength for purposes of lifting objects.

Also, as an aside, keep in mind that the game doesn't distinguish between lifting the mass of an object and the actual effort needed to tear an object from its moorings. That is, if a fire hydrant itself weighs 110 pounds and I can lift 110 pounds, then the game says I can pick up the hydrant, even though it would really take probably 10,000+ pounds of force to actually break the hydrant free of the plumbing and concrete to which it is attached.

BTW, Xenolith, scaling all of the game objects is a pretty big job, especially since many are deliberately under weighted to allow them to be throwable (e.g. a 1960s era car would weigh much more than 1100 pounds). It may be worth noting also that the game "centers" melee damage around a strength of 4.

Thanks, that's exactly what i was looking for.

I realize it will be a big job, but I have much more fun using "street level" heroes, so I really need to change things in FFEDIT.  The way it is now, a guy with a Strenght of 5 could pick up a car, but in my revised "world" that might take a strength of 8, 9, or heck, even 10.

Thanks, Stumpy.
