Mouse Acceleration

Does this drive anyone else nuts?  Was there a patch, hack, mod, magic spell that fixed this absolutely insane design decision?

I think you're the first person ever to mention issues with mouse acceleration? maybe it's something specific to your system? What are the issues?

I have found the mouse to be pretty usable in the game. As Epimethee notes, this may be something specific to your system. I know that my (Logitech) mouse has acceleration settings that I can tweak from the mouseware applet and it has separate gaming settings to fool with. You might want to look at those.
