proximity grenade timing

Going to post this in a couple of places since its a 2 part question.

I'm finding proximity grenades in FFvTR fade away faster than most slow moving nazis can get to them. Does anyone know what controls timing of them dissapearing? In FF, they lasted far longer and exploded rather than dissapearing when their time was up.

Perhaps there is a Init.py variable that can be set?
