Here's my Moloid skope. I added a loincloth, as well, as my old Marvel Handbook shows them with one. I did this skin, but I'll send the one that Tommy did also, in case you don't like mine. The animations I added (melee_jump, spear_thrust, a left-handed punch, and spear_throw) I kind of had to settle for as it was hard finding compatible keyframes that fit what I was trying to do. All of the new keys also stretch him a little bit, as they were made for male_basic. Thoughts and ideas are welcome.

Wow Hoss, that's a really nice skin.  I think that will do splendidly!  He looks great....well, for a weird, squinty-eyed critter from the center of the earth.  I don't have any really useful ideas on the kf problems, but depending on how bad the stretching is, it might not really be an issue.  Thanks for tackling this for me Hoss.  I think this will make the Mole Man's mission a lot better.

Hey Hoss, check this thread for help with the stretching issues on your skope, it's over my head, but it might help.

Well, I used Tommyboy's Moloid which by all appearances looks like a male_basic with different body parts being scaled down and having their positions altered to give that short, subterranean look. The only issue I have with the stretching are with the new animations I've added to the existing keyframes. What you've referenced, Cyber, is the whole mesh being stretched when you apply a complete set of keyframes from another mesh type. Now, that being said, I originally tried putting the Moloid mesh onto the Male_Basic_Staff mesh because the animations were great for a spear-wielding character, but the Moloid grew to regular size when I did this (losing all of it's  underground dwelling charm). Using the tutorial in the thread (thanks, Cyber), now I can try to do this and adjust the Moloid back to it's deformed self. It will be worth the effort. Wish me luck!

Haha, I guess I'm going senile.  It's sad when you have to be referred back to your own thread.  Thanks Pres.  I remember getting that Shatterax, but I could have sworn someone (and I thought it was Gren) previewed a Shatterax a while back...but I'm not beginning to think I made that up.  I think I may have conflated Korath and Shatterax in my mind.  We never did find a Dr. Minerva, huh?

Yeah DJ, I've got a herofile that references one, but I have never seen the skin.  I would like to have her in the mod, so I suppose I should add her to my list.

On an unrelated note, has anyone ever done Man-Ape's more recent costume?  His original costume is a bit on the goofier side, with the bare legs and all, but I'm thinking I'm going to have the Lethal Legion make a brief appearance.  If there is a version of him with the more modern costume, I wouldn't mind using it.

I found a Shatterax skin here: http://ca.groups.yahoo.com/group/ffskins_sceptre/files/  I had a little trouble accessing the site, so let me know and I can send you the file. Also, it's made for the old Grim Reaper mesh (because of the head piece). I had skoped a Shatterax a little while ago and kibashed the skin to make it fit for my own use, but if you don't mind waiting a little bit, I can redo the skope and make a skin. I lost all of my stuff on my laptop hard drive, so I have to recreate a bunch of stuff I didn't save elsewhere. Lastly, I tried to make the Moloid skope work on the male_basic_staff mesh, but couldn't do it. I was able to make it fit in Nifskope, but because I was doing more than just scaling pieces, I was getting too much distortion when it moved. The tutorial referenced previously works fine for scaling pieces, but when dealing with moving pieces along the x, y, and z axes, it's a whole different ball game. So, I'm going to send you what I have. The mesh doesn't really distort with the couple of animations  I added, it merely grows to male_basic size for the action.

Anwyay, I actually have that Shatterax, but I was under the impression that someone had previewed a new one.  I'm becoming convinced that I really am imagining things, though.  As for your skoped version, I am DEFINITELY interested man!  I've got plenty of time, and I would love to see your take on the character.

I got your moloid skope/skin, and you did a fantastic job.  Great work, and really nice choices on the animations.  I see what you mean about the size change, though.  What if we just took a male_basic sized mesh to start with, skoped the Moloid's eyes and loin-cloth, and your spear onto it, and then skoped it down to Moloid size?  I'm not super concerned about the proportions, really.  Do you think that would work?

I can definitely do that. I just wanted to try to keep the kind of bent and crooked subterranean look that Tommy was able to achieve. I may be able to keep that if I scale down the individual pieces (spine, pelvis, thigh, calf, etc) rather than scaling down the whole mesh. Let me give it a shot, otherwise I can scale down everything and send it.

Ohh man, that's just plain perfect Hoss!  I just tested them out, and not only do they look great (great skin, as well as a cool skope), their animations help make them more interesting opponents.  Their jumping attacks work perfectly now, meaning they can even be a threat to the Torch!  Thanks man, they're awesome!

What Wizard mesh are you referring to for this Benton? Would Tommyboy's Riddler mesh be a decent place to start?
