Got to meet these nice guys at PAX EAST and I really loved their product (we ran a demo game). You guy's may have seen I've been flirting with building an action packed superhero cardgame (I'll drop posts from time to time) but focused on heroic deeds as well as combat.

Well these guys did it, in a really simple way, fully illustrated. I had a blast playing it and bought the game and expansion on the spot ("earning" me a few bonus freebies).

This weekend I hope to get in 2 or 3 games with my friends, at which point I'll do a full review, but meanwhile I invite you all to check it out. I know the art looks a little "web comic" ish but since it is consistent across like 600 cards, you come to appreciate it very quickly.

Browed the website--and it looks like a fun game!  I may have to pick this up at some point.

Checking on Board Game Geek--and the author actually encourages people to make their own custom cards for the game.  In fact, he seems rather cool in general.

So far I'm really digging it... it really takes no time to explain to new players, it flows very quickly and you can have an epic "the world is ending" battle in 30 minutes to an hour. You do need one big jar of dice to keep track of all health though, for example on Saturday I fought a villain with 90 health, that took a couple of d10's. He usually had 4 to 5 minions out at a time, so I was tracking 3 hitpoints on each one of those too.

Right now they are doing a kickstarter for the second expansion, plus a second edition of the original game with thicker card stock and new art on some cards.
