A question from a noobleton

So I'm leveling my guy and I'd like to know what stats I should go for with gear. My playing style is to just run in there with fists flying and shooting off area of effect attacks. I dont like the long range business.

In fact, is there some sort of chart or web page that states what each stat is geared toward improving?

The DC forums have many lists for people who are tinkering with powers and such. Also try http://dcuo.mmorpg-life.com/ , it has work ups for builds and such , too. Are you running on PS3 or PC? Look up the Freedom people on PC if thats your stomping grounds.
