Thanks. It needs much more, but I need to push myself to learn more.

Apologize here to anyone. I'm finding my health in an immediate and concerning manner today and heading off the the hospital. As result there will be a lag in releasing requests. I can't say how long as I have a pretty good idea whats happening I won't know the extent of the doctors treatment until I get there. I'm sorry for any inconveniences this may cause.

* update (on me not the site per say): It turns out the doctor prescribed a penicillin which I'm allergic to. Apparently he didn't notice the red arm band or something. Anyway I was given some stuff so I can breath again and importantly I'll pull through. I'm just going to be a big pink Hulk for a day or so. That will still slow production since it's miserable but also mean I'll be back on track soon.

Ah man, that sucks.  I'm glad that they got you the right stuff, now.  I hope that you have a swift recovery, SA!

Cyber Burn

Just make sure you keep some Benadryl close by, and drink a lot of water. But at least they were able to figure out the mistake soon enough to where, hopefully, there was no major damage done.

SickAlice

Ja, taking the Benadryl  and thanks peeps. Shaking my head still or more accurately my huge red lips. Oh well at the very least I won't have worry about a repeat performance on this one.

BentonGrey

Ohh man, I've missed some developments here!  I'm glad you're recovering SA, and I'm sorry that you had to deal with that kind of unnecessary trouble!

As for the more positive developments of your work, everything is looking great!  That Danger from a few pages back is spectacular!

Thanks. I put a lot of work into Danger. I actually hate it myself. It's a reminder to me that I'm a novice when it comes to sculpting. I really need to get that ZBrush program down. Then we'll have some wonderful looking things. But to date I find it's interface and usage to confusing as heck. And thanks again. I'm chronic so being ill comes with the territory though I would be lying if I said I wasn't going to call the surgeon a lunkhead when I next see him because the past two days have frankly been a bunch of bullcrap for me.  <_<

Turning out to be my week. My gown fell off in the hospital hall while I was taking a hobble . I think I should make a cardboard box fort like a kid and just hide in it for awhile, lol. I did just now get Storm's capes 100% set which makes me happy. Can't wait to finish this one and get it uploaded, I think I put a few goodies in there you peeps will like. Oh and I hope your having a great day.

daglob

Ah, it sounds like you survived.

SickAlice

Ug. What a nightmare. I'm slowly going through the legal end, filing a grievance and if the hospital doesn't show an effort to resolve it internally then moving up to something like the BBB but mostly trying to not focus on it until I absolutely have to. What a circus that was, I still can't believe it. I ended up just bailing sometime in the morning and plopped down in a diner still in all my surgery garb and covered in blood. Never again.

SickAlice

Totally going off my own topic though that never stopped me before: Here is the cat Peanut that I spend my life with and in turn he reduces all my worry and stress. I figure since I talk about him enough I should share and since I bought a new camera nows the time. He hates having his photo taken so bare with it, most of the shots I got were him showing me his rear. \: He is much bigger than the photo depicts, sort of big snuggly fuzzy teddy bear. Quite the workout to carry this stud up and down the stairs.

SickAlice

Pretty well behaved too, more like a human child than a cat. He has his days but mostly he gets freaked out by things and takes leave of his senses for a bit. Also he's pretty much a brat who wants what he wants but I like that about his character. Never marks nor claws though so he's a keeper.

SickAlice

Just popping in while I'm by my dish to say I'm still working on Freedom Force stuff. I'm just off working on renovating the lake house and haven't moved the internet dish there yet, it's going to be a chore to do so as it's bolted to the peak of the garage here. Otherwise still working on releases at night. Feel free to shoot me PM's for stuff. I should check back in about a week.

Cyber Burn

Hey SA, always nice to hear from you. I know there was something I had wanted to brainstorm with you about, but at the moment, I am going blank on a monumental scale. If I can remember what it was though, I'll definitely shoot you a PM.

K I have work out of town for another week. I'll take my laptop with and try and stop in at a wifi hotspot but no guarantees. Everyone have a great week and enjoy summer.

BentonGrey

Have a good trip and be safe, man!

Safe travels my friend, I hope your work week goes well.

SickAlice

Thanks. It was rough, I had a 4 am to 9 pm workday in there in 90 degrees and my condition is acting up. In bed now and looking to return to work on Thursday if everything clears up.

SickAlice

A little promotion for a friend. My friend's parents are auctioning off many of their antiques in order to retire and pay for medical bills. Only dropping the link off as I saw some vintage comic books and action figures there. Being as I can't see the collection up close I'm not positive on the details though. I do think that's the original Alien figure they're talking about? Anyways I know some of you are avid collectors and thought I would share in case you want to browse. The contact details are of course present if your thinking of acquiring something or have questions.

I had a decision I'm having a hard time making that I was wondering if anyone could weigh in on. As some of you know I put an edict on myself in regards to the content I'll upload to the site. I consider that I have a lot of childrens properties in play so I won't put up anything that I think would lead them to research anything I wouldn't allow my own kids to look at online. Like I would never make that character from the Trey Parker and Matt Stone film for example. Or I have a certain anime angel duo almost finished on my hard drive but I'll never release them because the cartoon itself is raunchy and I'm being very generous there. However I do allow myself some leeway as comics are often gory and horror movie characters tend to be popular comic characters and have been merchandised to children for years. Like Freddy and Jason. I figure if I'm not pushing it on the gore with my release it isn't crossing the line. Which brings me to the question at hand: I put up a Marvel Zombie every now and then and have been working on more. I'm half (pun intended) done with Marvel Zombies Iron Man. For those not familiar it's your run of the mill classic Iron Man except the bottom half of his body has been eaten off and his rotten innards are hanging out. So yeah that in a nutshell. He looks like that in the comic anyways but I keep looking at the design and my model thinking maybe that's just going a little too far. I dunno so I though I'd see if I could get any other opinions on this one, thanks in advance.

Keep doing the Marvel Zombies, SickAlice. While they might be more Horror based, I tend to think of them more like Deadpool in the terms that they should be looked upon in a non-realistic fashion.. like zombies tend to become in cartoon versions of Hellboy. Long as you don't go too far with too much detail and do it with some sense of Beetlejuice-level dark humor then you should be fine. I would love to be able to take the Freddy Kreuger model from the Mortal Kombat reboot game and make him into a Freedom Force character but even my own skoping skills are beyond that.

No, the Marvel Zombies aren't the issue, I'm just asking about the Iron Man. The rest aren't really gory designs but that ones is and it's going to get a lot less comical once it's in 3-d. I may be overthinking it though hence why I'm asking. If you look at the design it's Iron Man's torso which is fine by itself but the bottom half is ripped open and everything from the inside is just pouring out. I never really thought about while reading the books but it sort of clicked when I started drawing it out as a 3d model in my mind.

Ohh, Okay. Well, I know the spine would be the most obvious part to remain animated and the guts/organs would mostly just be hanging out. I have looked over various versions of Zombie Iron Man which show far more organic guts hanging out of the ripped torso and then others which just have wires, twisted metal, and just the spine poking out. I guess it depends on just how much gore you wish to have in your take on the character. Probably would be easier to add more wires and less organs to keep it within PG-13 levels just in case some parents using Freedom Force might download him. I'd also use the concept I had for my own MCU Tony Stark by having the zombie hovering around using his gauntlet thrusters for his running animation as well as his hovering/flight animation. Then his crawling walk should be much slower when they make his hero file.

Oh, I'm not asking how to do it sorry. I'm not sure how I implied that. How to skope Freddy and such doesn't apply so I'm confused where this is coming from either though at that rate go learn Blender swapping from RD's tutorial. Maybe someone else could weigh in here, sorry?

BentonGrey

Hmm, an interesting question, SA.  Given your discomfort with the idea, I wonder if you may have already found the answer.  If you are really worried about it, then you might not want to put it out there.  I'd so go with your gut in this situation.

For my part, the whole zombie thing doesn't really seem fit for kids, but it is marketed to them these days.  I was really surprised to see NERF guns marketed with zombie packaging and such.  If you've already got other Marvel Zombies content on your site, I'd say one more piece, even if more extreme, is probably not going to be a bridge too far.  I don't think any of us will fault you either way.

I was thinking along those lines, like if I registered a problem and me with a pretty strong stomach maybe that was enough. I'm also considering going ahead because I want to complete the core MZ team but instead doing the version of him that has legs.

I think they're " okay ". Kids like monsters. Most of the characters really just appear dirty and tattered with the common big teeth and bugged out eyes. Nothing really gory about that that isn't lampshaded hence why this one stuck out so much. Steve has the brain bowl of course though but it actually looks silly and moreso in 3d as the version I did and the action figure prove. I grew up on Freddy and Jason toys. Not the McFarlane one either, but all sorts of bath toys and stuff. None of them pushed the line though. Their wasn't a Freddy that spoke that infamous line about " prime time " for example. Or Jason never came with full on detailed dismembered body parts and such. I also remember a Crypt Keeper Saturday Morning cartoon I was a kid and given how nasty the content of the HBO series was. Then again the for tv version of the love action one was edited. So when it comes to horror and monsters I think it's acceptable and the fine line is exact content. Pornography never of course, at least for me and as someone whose actually good friends with people in that industry though they would agree here of course.

I was going to wait out more but I think sold here and I'm going to drop that one then. I just don't feel right about it. Also back to that Freddy crimsonquill I'll take a look at the game model though I'm pretty tied up so it won't be rushed. My guess is the best way to go is use a Freedom Force model and borrow a costume part or two like the hat and glove.

Else I may as well make this official but I will be working at a slower pace. Sorry to anyone for this. My health condition just went in a real bad way and I have to put more time into that as well I'm very weakened. I will complete any requests I already have and am working with people on, don't worry there and I do need something to do while I'm down. I probably won't take anymore requests on top of the ones I already have for awhile though. Also I'm going to prioritize an aforementioned tutorial complete with resources that will give users the jump on making their own nifs and especially help anyone who may not be confident in 3d modelling. I see a few people at the starting stages of modding who really have a lot of dedication and heart into learning more and believe this will help speed people towards their end goals. More or less it will be a rundown of the method I original used to model back when I actually had no idea how to do it. At any rate please forgive me for my slow releases for the next month or so and be patient with me as I just have a lot on my plate and mind right now and while my spirit is ready to sprint my body isn't exactly on board with the plan.

BentonGrey

That sounds like a reasonable conclusion, SA.  Yeah, trust your own instincts.

As far as your announcement, take all the time you need man!  Take care of yourself, and we will be quite happy to wait for awesome stuff.   :D
