Hey guys, I've declared my love before for Sentinels of the Multiverse, which is a fairly quick and easy to learn superhero card game. They have another kickstarter, this time for a "days of future past" inspired expansion and it is a good chance for you guys to get some goodies if you are getting into the game.

A quick explanation of the game is that 3 to 5 players each grab a deck that represents a hero. They join up to fight against a self playing Villain deck and an environment deck that also plays itself. The beauty is that there are about 11 villains right now, 15 or so heroes and 8 environments so that gives you a ton of options to create new match-ups.

Also there is a major teamwork element... one hero can reduce damage, while another one boosts damage by his allies, two more attack with boosted damage and another makes everyone draw an extra card. Meanwhile the villains are TOUGH, putting out minions or big bad attacks every turn. Usually every time you think you have won, you get hit by a board wipe that destroys all cards in play (your equipment) or puts all the minions from the trash back into play.

Also I love that every deck has it's own types of cards, so the rules change depending on who plays. For example Tachyon is a super fast Flash analog, and she draws and discards cards a lot and gets bonus damage based on the number of cards with the word "burst" on them in her trash. That means that if you play fast and reckless you gain more and more speed and damage. Legacy (superman analog) reduces damage to himself and draws fire to himself, so he keeps his allies alive and sometimes turns the tides with a good attack. My favorite might be Absolute Zero... a guy in a cryo suit (think Mr. Freeze) who works with Dr. Mike levels of thermodynamics... when he is dealt fire damage, he deals a target cold damage. When he is dealt cold damage, he deals fire damage. As he gets more equipment out he boosts damage and heals himself, turning into a living chain reaction of elemental fire and ice.

As for the expansions so far Rook City is a 1980's grim and gritty crime town, with mobsters, mutants, serial killers and a female punisher (Expatriette) and martial aritst (Mr. Fixer). The Infernal Relics expansion is mystical and comes with a Dr. Strange analogue (Argent Adept with his magical instruments) and Nightmist (a paranormal investigator with chaos magic). In that expansion you fight cults, a giant elemental, a fallen angel and an Egyptian mythology inspired supervillain team.
