So, those of you who have been with this site for a long time might have noticed that, as of this morning, there have been a few... changes to the board. Well, as some of you are aware, Freedom Reborn has been having a hard time lately, given that the community is based around a game that came out a decade ago that no one plays all that much anymore. So, in an effort to bring in a bit of life, I suggested that we restructure the site around the ever-expanding My Little Pony community, especially given the popularity of the pony avatars I created. The Titans voted, and in the end it was decided that the best thing for the forum would be to submit ourselves to our Pony Overlords. All Hail the Celestial Empire.

I  went to buy a toy for my foster sister's birthday and she loves MLP  so I found her a wedding castle dollhouse.  Now normally I wouldn't have any problem buying a girl toy since the cashier would correctly assume it was a gift. But then I remembered there was a subculture of guys who look like me and buy MLP  toys to play with and/or  display in their parents'  basements. I couldn't risk the cashier knowing about the brony  collective and if I mentioned the toy was for my foster sister she might think I was just covering. So I decided to go buy a card,  fill  it  out in the store to Maria,  and say to the cashier "yes,  I'd like to buy this pony dollhouse  and this card which I've prefilled  out to my foster sister Maria."  because who would suspect someone to buy a whole card just to cover up their creepy obsession with MLP  merchandise?  Unfortunately, I  didn't have a pen on me and I started panicking  but then I remembered:  self checkout!   So the day was saved,  no one thought I was a brony and  Maria liked her present and there were horses at her party and Bruce got to ride  and kiss one.

While i'm not really a fan of my little pony, this change in forum theme came as a pleasant surprise and made me smile. It's great to see other people enjoying it or just having fun with it.

I am glad that the theme stays around as a selectable one.  It was too nice not to keep.

So... yeah, this was fun to put together, and I'm glad everyone got a kick out of it. I wish I could say this has been building up ever since I started with the pony craziness, but I only started putting together the idea for the April Fools theme sometime last December. Stumpy was a great help getting everything set up properly, and was very patient with me despite the fact that I must have crashed our testing area a dozen or more times trying to set up that blasted font.

Hopefully we won't have quite so many issues next year
