...but here it says that Photoshop won't run on it. WHY should I download this pig?

You shouldn't. This is the first real version of windows like this, and it's always a mistake to switch the first time they do something. Switching to Vista was a mistake for the same reason...

If I switch at all (I'm perfectly happy with 8.1) it'll be in two years when the thing actually functions and they take out the "features" people have been complaining about.

From what I've read, PS needs some .dlls to work. Those are available now, maybe?

My experience with some of Windows past upgrades has been that they use the public as their beta-testers.

Dll files are pretty easy to find.I had practice,a lot of games have problems with them on W7.
