Hello, welcome to the boards.
I think you could just browse around here to get yourself familiar with how things work around here, also, you can check out a few different sites that host mods to see what can be done.
I suggest checking out:
alexff.com
fundamentzero.com http://fundamentzero.com/index_games.htm
freedomforceuniverse.com
and freedomforceforever.com
to see some of the modding capabilities of these games.

Howdy Captain Justice, welcome to the greatest community on the Internet!  :D

If you want to see what the engine(s) are really capable of, I'd recommend checking out Dr. Mike's mods, found at Fundament Zero, which DM linked.  They really show you how just about anything is possible with enough scripting skill.

If you'd like to see what is available without scripting skill, I might recommend my own much, MUCH lesser creations, which you can find at my site:
https://bentongrey.wordpress.com/

I use a wonderful tool called EZScript, which you can find links to there as well, that allows you to use a very simplified scripting language.  It can still do tons of cool stuff.

Are any of the modding tutorials still around?

I have several in case anyone needs them. Proven to be invaluable in my epic adventure or misadventure, depending on your perspective :) And BTW, Welcome to the most helpful community for one of the greatest games ever made, Captain Justice!

Cyber Burn

Welcome aboard Captain. For additional information, I would suggest checking out the Resources Yahoo Group that is Linked to in my Signature. While it's far from complete, it should be a good start.
