Hey I got back into FF after a several year break, and I got everything down including ezfx and ffx working well, but i'm having trouble installing pfx 1.2 properly! I think the problem is its not installing in the right directory since I use windows 10 and whatnot. Also how do you manually put in new fx for ffvsttr?

It's been a while since I've installed PFX 1.2, but when you run the Executable, where are the Files going?

Sorry for the double post, but most FX should have some sort of Text File with instructions on how to install them. But just in case, here is one that is by Renegade:

TSphere FX
**************************
-By RENEGADE (special thanks to Courtnall6 for the Tshpere textures)

****************************************************************

1) Place the TGA files in the Data\Art\library\fx\_textures directory

2) Place the Tsphere folder (containing core.nif) in your Data\Art\library\fx\generic directory.

**************************************
-Open the FFeditor & select the FX tab
**************************************

1) On the bottom right hand corner, click the New button

2) In the FX Details section, type or copy:

Name:  Tsphere

Nif Base:  library\fx\generic\Tsphere

Attack Type:  Ranged

Attack Sub Type:  Projectile

3)  In the bottom right hand corner, click Save.  The FX should now show up on the list.

4) Tsphere (the FX you just created) from the list on the left

5)  In the Node Attachment Points section:

Start:  Right hand

Core:  weapon

End:  leave blank

6)  In the bottom right hand corner, click Save

*****************************************
Select the Sounds tab of the editor.
*****************************************

  1) Select throw_any from the list on the left

  2) Rename it  fx_Tsphere1 and click new

  3) Click the save button which is the second button on the bottom screen of the sound tab of the editor.

***************************************

Your Fx are now set up as projectiles in the character generation section of Freedom Force.

Enjoy!

Mind you, this is just an example, but it should get you by.
