DC finaly got around to collecting this run,or parts of it at least,so that motivated me to open a topic about it.Its mostly remembered for Chester Williams: American Cop story, but there was a lot more.
Its a great run.Meta story concerns Swamp Thing getting the powers of other elements and growing more detached from his humanity with each new element. There is also the chance to revisit some obscure characters like Sargon and  Tim Trench,DC's barbarian line, tour the pre-Crisis multiverse and revisits characters from Alan Moore's for the grand finale.
There is kind of a strong theme of redemption.Antoan Arcane found redemtion in hell, another thing the run is mostly remembered for.
Its a powerful final confrontation of 2 arch-enemies,with roles reversed,as Arcane goes to talk Swamp Thing(now 3/4 god) from destroying humanity.
If you havent, you should really read it.
