Marvel's "The Inhumans"

I saw an article on The Inhumans saying that they have been losing about half their audience ever week. I prefer the version that was on the late, lamented auntpetunia.com.

That's not what the numbers Wikipedia lists say.  They are very very low though.

Yeah, I can't say I'm surprised.  It's just plain not good.  I won't go so far as to say  'bad,' but it certainly isn't good.  As I said before, that's a crying shame, because there's a ton of potential, even with the really lazy, uninspired interpretation they've created.  The guy playing Maximus is great, and there's some cool ideas that jive really well with the source material in the whole 'genetics as destiny' and social justice themes that are far too small a part of the show.  The lack of imagination this show employs may just be an unforgivable sin given the source material.  The creators are squandering great gifts.

Did... did we watch the same show? I mean, granted, I haven't actually watched the show, but I've seen plenty of clips! And everything I've seen of Maximus' actor is just... bleh. He's got the acting ability and the charisma of dishwater. But maybe it's just me.

Maybe I'm being too kind, but he strikes me as very successfully being super creepy and unstable.  And they're successfully turning up the crazy progressively.  There's a good sense of menace in some of his scenes, like anything might set him off.

I'll have to take your word for it. I still haven't watched the show, and after all I've heard about it, I'm not sure if I ever will. Not unless I suddenly become a glutton for punishment.

If you watch Game of Thrones, you will know that he is super great at playing creepy and unstable.
I, uhhh... I haven't watched Inhumans though. And I actually really LIKE the Inhumans, despite having a bunch of terrible miniseries under their belt.
But I also haven't been keeping up with them currently in comics either. Too much stuff going on. Black Bolt's solo prison break comic has been entertaining though.

In a way,Inhumans(as a concept) are a bit too weird for the general audience.So were GotG,true,but you can actually sell a talking racoon to people.
