Art by Gary Frank and Richard Isanove.
Stop me if you heard this one before-a rocket with a baby crashes somewhere in the rural USA,where its is found by a couple without kids, who take the baby home...And then a SWAT team busts in,and they take the child away to be raised in a secret government installation,as an experiment/human-shaped WMD.And that's how Supreme Power, the Squadron Supreme update for the 21th century by JMS starts.First series was great, others not so much.
Anyhow,the cover;5 for symbology*.

Tomato

I gave it a solid 4. I agree that the symbology is great, and it's actually not a bad representation of the contents of the book IIRC. The problems I have with it are mostly from the standpoint of it being an actual cover: The intent behind any cover is to get a person to buy a book, ESPECIALLY in the case of a new/rebooted series like this one, and I don't get that here. So while I like the symbolism and the artwork, nothing about it screams "BUY ME" in the same way as a cover like, for example, the Santa Claus cover you posted awhile back.

Speaking of which,I was thinking of posting some more 2000ad covers, but again, maybe all of three people here(myself included) are familiar with it,so it seems pointless.

Deaths Jester

I give it a three...while the symbolism works, the fact it's a re-imaging of Gruenwald's wonderful Squadron Supreme leaves a very bitter after taste in my mouth.  I'm also with Tomato in that it doesn't draw one to buy it, or of the story within.
Avatar picture originally a Brom painting entitled Marionette.

Yes,I agree it should draw you to buy it,but to be fair, comics are not an impulsive buy anymore.I know what Im going to get next month.
And if you hated this one, then I honestly hope you avoided Robinsons Squadron Supreme.
