In the skies of Metropolis, flies a man. On the rooftops of Gotham, roams a vigilante. In a press conference, a Martian is greeted by the president while an organization sheathed in the shadows of its dealings increases its hold on the world. This is Earth. This is reality. This is Ultimate DC. *intro by previsionary*League of Shadows: Batman The League of Shadows: The Tiger - Bronze Tiger in the regular DCU. skope by podmarkLeague of Shadows: The Red Hood League of Shadows: Merlyn League of Shadows: Robin skope by mystik

Justice League: Superman Superman: The coming of Darkseid was something the Kryptonians arrogantly thought they could defy. Darkseid had conquered, controlled, and enslaved 37% of the known universe according to Kryptonian intelligence. No society, culture, or species had ever stopped his brutal expansion. But the Kryptonians thought they stood a chance with their superior technology. Kryptonian citizens Jor-El and Lara Lor-Van did not show the same confidence as the rest of their species. Paranoia and fear had overcome their senses. Prior to Darkseid and his armada's arrival, the couple shot their son, Kal-El, off into space within a small ship. The hope of their son living a peaceful life was their final thought before being incinerated by orbital strikes. The coming of Darkseid had cost the Kryptonians dearly. Most were killed, few escaped, and the rest were enslaved. 78 hours after Kal-El's departure from Krypton, his space capsule crash landed on Earth, within the Kansas region of the United States. A couple from Smallville witnessed the event and took it upon themselves to inspect the crash site out of curiosity. What they found was an infant. The Kents had never been able to conceive a child. This child from the sky was a gift they humbly accepted and raised as their own. The newest Kent was named Clark. Morals instilled by the Kents and the manifestation of his abilities inclined an adolescent Clark to help those in need. The media dubbed him Superboy for his unbelievable accomplishments. A Metropolis reporter, Lois Lane, called him Superman years later. A name that has stuck since. Though he gets a small satisfaction from the attention and praise, he'd much rather be tending to his farm with his wife Lana Lang, and his two children, Connor and Kara.

The First Mainstream JLAer! FANTASTIC! I myself have been trying to redesign superman's costume and have found it terribly hard to change something so a) traditional and b) Simple. Great Job, The fellow leaguers are jealous with envy(until they are skinned ofcourse ) But, seriously, "to release or not to release? that is the question?" (Sorry, i've been reading hamlet ) P.S. I think you need to think about modding this story, it would be great.

Dang, Murs. Those skins are......unbelievable. I don't believe it. Very cool concepts as well. I do have a issue with the thumbs as well. Beyond that.....too cool. ~Z23~

As a Superman-mythos lover, I love the story you gave him but something about "Big Blue" not being in blue is a little off to me. For some reason he reminds me more of Icon from Milestone than Kal-El (don't hate me, I love the rest).

Ya know, I think blue reather than grey would look good. Just a suggestion.

How did I miss that? Thanks, I'll be taking care of that ASAP. to release or not to release? that is the question?
Not 'til next year....sometime. Sorry. i like these alot ... what mesh is Meryln on??? (I totally need that for Green Arrow)
It is Gren's Hawkeye v2. With the hood from the Silent Scout mesh. don't hate me
But I do. That's one thing I knew coming into this was that some people just weren't going to "buy" some of these designs. Especially with the more iconic characters. I'm ok with that, and I expect it. But, I'm actually surprised it hasn't happened more. This was all your fault btw AA, your little "Be Original" thread inspired me. Though these arent original characters exactly, I'm having a lot of fun doing this. Thanks. Thanks for the comments and critiques everyone.

I would also like to say those skins mean nothing to me until I see Vixen or Black Canary. So, go get on that, murs.

To taunt Prev (everyone's favorite pasttime), now both Vixen and Canary can't show an inch of skin. Give them baggy jeans and jackets for good measure.

Indeed and the adjective, "old," keeps coming to mind. Them not showing skin wouldn't bother me...I don't look at cartoons and expect them to be showing every inch of skin they own...who does that, gremlin? In fact, murs, go back and reskin everyone with nun outfits. That'll show me! *yawns nonchalantly* Ooo, I'll even rewrite all the bios for you to include their nunnery outfits! They could be a band of religious heroes known as...The Convent! Good deal. Good deal, indeed!

I'm going to skin them both in 2 piece bikinis just for Prev.

merlyn's face is brilliant man. tiger is my fave overall though. good design and excellent skin. i'm not feelin robin's mask cause it's too identifiably green lantern and i like the costume but think the red and black areas reversed would be better especially for stealth missions. nothing says "look at me" better than red, well maybe a skintight red body suit...
Thing about that, IPS, is if he reversed the scheme you would just have this: http://images.buycostumes.com/mgen/merchandiser/6249.jpgAnd that movie was terrible.

I like Superman. It's a cool design and fairly unique from what you usually see him in. I would however like a closeup of his face. Something looks odd in the preview pic.

Yeah, looks like one eye is squinting and the other is normal in the pic.

Interesting concepts. I'm wondering if the bios you have for your designs is what they are for the entirety of your universe's timeline, or if the characters change overtime. For example, in Ultimate X-Men, Wolverine started out the opposite of what he is in the mainstream Marvel Universe, like your Batman, but U-Wolvie changed over time. I'm sort of thinking that maybe a mod could be done with this stuff if the latter is the case. After all, maybe what the DC Universe needs is a fresh start.

hmmm... first of all *shakes fist at you for making me think there would be no superman* i like the design. if anything, i wouldnt make it blue, but i would make the S symbol a tad bigger on the chest, but thats a nitpick more than anything. great work as always...
