I haven't completed the mod yet but it's a lot of fun.

I really, really love your choice of character powers.. you made Phantom Girl good in the game!

I look forward to your next mod!

Great mod! I'm stuck in the third mission, though... Can't stop those Supermen from destroying the things I have to protect. I'll get them next time!

In my first attempt at the second mission, I got utterly destroyed by Nemesis Kid. He KO'd Electric Lad seconds after the cutscene, and I couldn't damage him much anymore with the other heroes, because of his Adaptive attribute. He destroyed me so badly that, in my next try, I put Mon-El on the team. He wasn't needed, though, because this time Electric Lad didn't flop, and he and Firestorm managed to put him out quickly. Fun stuff. =P

I really liked your hero files. You balanced the powers of the characters in such a way that the mod offers a fun and moderate challenge at the intermediate difficulties. Some of Previsionary's mods, even though they're great, sometimes had me lowering the difficulty below normal to get through some of the harder parts (the second-to-last mission of the Crisis mod almost killed me). Your mod didn't have that so far, which I think is good.

Great job.

Thanks guys! I'm glad (and relieved!) you liked the hero files and the game balance.
laughing paradox,
I like Tinya a lot, so I tried my best to make her a good character, but faithful to comics. I'm glad you approved.
Blitzgott,
I'm glad you liked. In the comics Nemesis Kid can overpower any single character in a fight, but his powers don't work against multiple opponents, so I used Adaptive. If you get 2 or 3 different attack powers, he's less effective.
Hope you like Mission 4 too.

JJ, I'm going to try to give this mod a try this week. I figured I'd let you know. Considering how well your PCTales mission came out, I think I'll be satisfied. tongue

I'm glad you liked my "Red Moon" mission, Prev. Hope you like the Legion Mod too.

Since you are a very experienced player, you probably need bigger threats to feel challenged. I tried use as few "required heroes" as possible exactly to let the player set his own difficult level. I don't think you will recruit Superboy and Mon-El to your teams  biggrin

Excellent mod. I have enjoyed very much playing this module. Sincerely, it is the best module that I have played for Freedom Force. The only fault that I have found is that it was short.

Thanks, Doc!
I'm glad you liked the Mod, I was lucky enough to get permission to use creations of some of our best artists, and it helped me so much.
I designed the Legion Mod as a two parter. I'm scripting Mission 5 now. I'll post screen shots when I'm done.

I'm glad you liked it.
I had to limit the cast or the download would be too heavy. So, I decided use only the active Legionnaires (and Supergirl). Unfortunately no Bouncing Boy and Duo Damsel in this Mod (but I doubt this will be my last Legion Mod  wink )

I'm glad you liked it, Dana. I was hoping the Mod was interesting even to players who aren't Legion fans. I'm relieved it worked.
And here is a Mission 5 pic, with Tyroc (by Vertex and C6) fighting evil SPs (by Tommyboy) in the Kaliklak forest map, by our cmdrkoenig67 himself.

I finally got around to playing your mod, JJ, and I think it came out well. Just something to keep in mind for the next episode, leaving the FF missions in the campdef.dat isn't necessary and it'd be best to just remove them so the game doesn't think the mod has more missions than it actually does. Also, I don't think you added an executive (.exe) to the mod folder, so you might want to consider adding one for those that don't know the how-to of making mod executable on their own.

All in all, very good effort for your first mod. I'm sure part 2 will be just as enjoyable. happy.

Try this:
1-Download the file (the Mod)
2- Extract it (with Wizip, Winrar or a similar program) in a folder called "Legion".
3- Place the folder inside your main  ffvstr directory.
4- Make a shortcut to the mod or copy the  ffvstr shortcut.
5- Add a -(name of mod) and a -log to the end of the shortcut's target. For instance: , "C:\Freedom Force vs The 3rd Reich\ffvt3r.exe" -game Legion -log

Hope it helps!

I having a blast making this Mod. When I see creations of guys like you, Tommyboy, Vertex, C6, JkCarrier, Housequake and others playing my Missions I feel like I had a Legion comic with my stories and art by Dave Cockrum, Curt Swan, Steve Lightle and others. thumbup
Sequels? Like one with the 80's Legion? Never heard about it wink

What "kind" of errors? If your download is correct and you're using Winrar, it should go pretty smoothly. However, for future reference, the "list of tutorials" thread and the "FR wiki" can answer a lot of questions you may have.

It says the system cannot find the path specified. The errors are like everything. Custom_Characters, FX, and all this other stuff. Anyways, thanks for your help and I'll take a look at the mod installation tutorials!

Keep in mind that when you're extracting stuff, the folder you're moving the files to needs to actually exist. Is Freedom Force vs. The Third Reich installed in that location for you?

I'm not sure. It shows up immediately in the E: drive but for the C: I have to click program files/irrational games/freedom force vs the third reich. Soooooo could that be it?

EDIT: I try to extract it to E:\Proram Files\ irrational games\freedom force vs the third reich\  and it gives me the same list of errors!  headbang

I feel like I'm taking over JJ's thread. Sorry, JJ. tongue.

Kombatkid, without knowing the exact error (post a screenshot or something), the only things I can suggest to you is to redownload the mod or to try extracting the files to your "Desktop" and then moving it into your Freedom Force folder.
