It's like Shakespeare,
But with lots more punching.
It's like Goethe,
But with much more crunching.
Like Titanic,
But the boat's still floating.
No it's not,
The mother-loving boat is exploding!

JKC,
Though I haven't read the comic. The skins look fantastic. Love your work my friend.
Kssaints
Howdy JKC, I haven't a clue who those guys are (although I love your commentary :D ), but they look pretty good. I especially like the camo patern on the far right, nice work. Also, good detailing on 'Tabby's' belt.
Sweet skins there!
YES! my downloading pleasure has seriously reached critical mass!

as soon as I saw the title I was like O M G...
Great skins and very well done! This is currently my favorite comic so I cant be any happier this morning.
These skins made me curious about the comic line.... HOW DID I NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS COMIC?!
Great job on the skins, and getting me to spend more money at the comic shop!
Probably the best mainstream comic currently out there. Do I even need the probably in that sentence?
Skins are looking good, man. Nice detail. Nice pallette. Good job.
I'm another recent reader of Nextwave, and I'm saddened to hear that it's ending with #12. My robot brain still needs beer! Great skins!
Sweet!
I don't suppose the Aaron Stack mesh has a "zillion sharp things popping out of my swiss-army stomach" animation? :P
Thanks, JKC! These will be fun. (Anyone know what Elsa's exact powers are. Besides shooting things, I mean.)

Sadly, no. He does have the telescoping arms and legs, though.
Quote(Anyone know what Elsa's exact powers are. Besides shooting things, I mean.)
"Elsa Bloodstone has a magical stone that she wears around her neck that gives her super strength and invulnerability. And she's English."
Yeah, for a hero file give her some decent strenght (she bashes jeeps!), agility (jumps off buildings!), hardiness and according to some source I saw she has regeneration too, although I didint bother giving it to her when I made a hero file. Other than that she displays great rifle skillz, shotguns, a modified broccoli singing flare and uzis (not included on the mesh).

Wow, I've never heard of this comic book before, but after looking for info about them, I recognize a couple of faces there.
Nice work, JKC. Elsa and the Captain are my favorites of these bunch. Great job, overall
Back to one of my favorite topics... Batman's rogues gallery:

Cluemaster, the capsule-throwin' Riddler-wannabe. Now available at:
http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/jkcfreedomforcestuff6/
I love the skin. The colors are nice and the face mask is well done. The nifskoping is great as always. I really am going to have to sit down and teach myself that soon.
Cluemaster was always one of may favourite villains, mainly cos he was one of the first i ever saw Batman square off against!
Great work, mate, and as an aside, those nextwave skins are so good i went and checked out the comics. can't give a much better compliment than that!
Whoa, awesome! Haha, you're Cluemaster is SO going into the DCU. Great work man, he's perfect!
Man, what a goofy costume. But you pull it off. That face mask is super wrinkly.
Oh, he's so ridiculous, it's awesome.
Robots and cyborgs on the attack!

Korvac, enemy of the Guardians of the Galaxy, as he appeared before achieving godhood.
Both are now available at

Excellent! Thank you. That's one off my todo list (Korvac)
Krikey!! Those are awesome!!!
Love the colors, JKC!
A absolutly perfect Korvac....Perfect!!
Great Brainiac as well....but that Korvac!!!
wow!
korvac's incredible, i can only imagine how long it took you to skope him. and Brainy is sweet!
Grundy want pants too!
Seriously though, I've already told you how awesome that Brainiac is, but I suppose a second time won't hurt. Awesome!
Nice Brainy. I'm digging it. And the friggin' hexing work on Korvac. I suppose you made his hover... body... from bits and pieces? Geezy louizey.
Korvak is amazing!

Yeah, it's skoped together from a couple different Tom_versatile pieces, repeated over and over. The main box is the square quiver, the "spoke" on the bottom is a couple of Iron Man hip-pods, and most of the rest is square and round belt buckles. And tballs for the round bits (like the studs on his harness). Not really difficult, but time-consuming.
I have no idea who Korvac is, but your mesh has inspired me to read up on the guy. Plus, your Braniac is going to be my new standard mesh for that character. Love your work.
Finished these weeks ago, but Yahoo! was being cranky and not letting me upload:
Natasha Romanoff, aka the Black Widow, in 3 different costumes -- Her original look as a "plainclothes" Russian spy, the outfit she wore back when she was dating Hawkeye, and finally her classic '70s catsuit. Comes in original FF and FF vs. 3rd Reich versions, and features custom keyframes (made by combining animations with M25's keyframe tool).
You can download them at:
http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/jkcfreedomforcestuff6
Those are fantastic!
I've wanted to see the Widows original look(s) for an age.
And best of all, no steenking guns! In your face, Bendis!
As always, the faces are superb, and the attention to detail is astonishing.
Very, very nice!

Heh. I actually did give the '64 Widow a gun, since she didn't have the stinger bracelets and I figured she needed something to defend herself with...
I was expecting to see Rocky and Bullwinkle...

That's entirely acceptable.
It's the modern widow with guns that bugs me, a la Mighty Avengers
Very well done JKC. Those skins look great.
I love the catsuit on the third one.
stunning beautiful work on the detailing and the faces
excellent work! aand i love the keyframes too!
Stunning work! How did you make the veil, that is really cool.
Quote from: AfghanAnt on August 07, 2007, 12:12:01 PM

The veil is a loincloth, with an alpha channel to make the "holes".
That is totally awesome, unique thinking. These are some all around sweet skins/hexes.
:o Damm awesome JKC! just awesome
Been meaning to re-do these for a while, since there were some technical issues with the old ones:

Not my first choice of characters, but as ever the craftsmanship is superb.
Just excellent, thank you.
These are gorgeous. I really like Rima the most, so simple but so amazing. Is Samurai waiting in the wake?

I might eventually go back and update Samurai, Black Vulcan, and Apache Chief too, but not right away. The old versions are still available on my Yahoo groups.
I didn't do anything unusual with the female faces, I don't think. Those pics are pasted together from individual Character Tool shots, so the scale might not be accurate.
These are nicely done, good job JKC.
oh my childhood
Incredible work
My one crit is a mesh one. The bottoms of the trousers don't match colour wise. You can fix this in Nifskope quite easily, just play with the material values. It would really improve the look :)

It looks better in-game, the Character Tool always makes certain pieces look dark for some reason.
How do I do this "material values" thing?
I've never seen the early version's of the Blackwidow - Thanks for the education & cool skins
I'm reading Showcase Presents: Batman volume 2. I'm ready to read the first Cluemaster story. I am totally excited because I can't wait to use your awesome nifskope and skin once I learn more about this character. :D
Finally got some time to finish off a few of these 'skopes:
L to R:
Supergirl, as she appeared in the 1970s.
Tlaca, Princess of the Golden Sun, sent by a lost tribe of Aztecs to beat up Supergirl and take over the world.
Nightflame, the evil amazon who lived inside Supergirl's brain (she has a flaming sword that appears during melee animations, but I couldn't get a good shot of it in the CTool)
Available now at http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/jkcfreedomforcestuff6/

Oh how I miss the Silver Age :D
Fantastic work on these JKC, I'd have to say the strongest points, and my favourites, are the faces, each one is detailed, unique and characteristic of the individual and their personality. Tlaca in particular looks incredibly strong and proud, while SG looks clearfaced and innocent.
Very funky, particularly Tlaca.
Wow! Love your stuff JKC!
Tlaca is especially impressive with the ripped shirt and the little booties too. i'm interested in seeing Nightflame up close too.
I love seeing some of the veterans returning and turning out some top notch skins. The face work is incredible. Great stuff.
As a huge fan of all things Supergirl, I'm really loving them all.
