Patriot World:

Your prelinked map system for EZ Script freeroam campaigns.  They will also work in standard EZ Script minimods and most will work in Rumble Room Battles as well.

I was looking at one of the readme files and noticed that it says to ask for my permission to use some of the maps.    Everything I release is meant for the community to use.  No need to ask.

Great maps! I'm always glad to see new mapmakers. But for some reason the top hat mesh shows up black with the objects, but i cant move. Also, on the glacier_main level the snow is pink, and on the maps with doors, they do not open.

Let's see:

The pink snow is a missing texture.  Make sure you have "jmRedOkt_SnowCentre.TGA" in you _textures directory.  If not, check the .rar file.  If not, try downloading again.  They're all the same texture, so I know it's that one. 

The tophat level is my bad.  I originally did this as an add-on to M25's EZ Freeroam_poc, and looks like I forgot to include that terrain .nif to make it portable into any mod.  The fixed .rar is now available on my map page. 

I did not test the doors, although I cannot imagine why they wouldn't work.  I used the default (in-game) ones, so I'm not sure what to tell you...break 'em down(?)

Any one have any suggestions?

EDIT: if you don't want to download it again, just add this file: library\terrain\mp_04_robot_factory\mp_04_robot_factory_terrain.nif to your Art\library folder

Doors need scripting to work/open. M25 has a simplified system for 'em in EZScript/FFX--you can see how he uses it in his firelight campaign as well.

Sorry for the errors.

It seems as though my initial release was the Microsoft version, cuz I found a ton of bugs.

Not to worry,

I've made the corrections, tested them (twice) and everything should be cool now :rolleyes:

Please remember, you must install these maps into a FFX3.2 EZ Script freeroam mod folder.  The easiest way to do this is to download M25's EZfreeroam_poc example (http://www.4shared.com/file/10968115/9818a195/ezfreeroam_poc.html) (http://www.4shared.com/file/10968115/9818a195/ezfreeroam_poc.html)) and his EZ Script Update (http://members.shaw.ca/m25/ezscriptpatch_apr507.zip (http://members.shaw.ca/m25/ezscriptpatch_apr507.zip)), and use it as your freeroam mod folder.  Again, these are just maps, you need to supply your own action.

Also remember, that, while these maps are enabled for regular rumble room battles, they were designed for goal-oriented campaign missions, and may not be the best choices in traditional rumble room skirmishes.

Fixes include:

[spoiler]1) Replaced closed doors with open ones.  Thanks to HT for the heads up on the doors.  I wrote a sample script to get them working and placed it in the freeroam directory, but they only work your first time through the map.  If you leave the map and come back they won't work.  This is no good for a free-roam campaign so I replaced them with open doors.  For those wishing to do a more traditional style, linear campaign, there is an add-on called patriotworld_door_addon.rar that has fixed mission.dats and the door scripts.  You will need to modify these scripts with your own encounters and incorporate them into each minimod that uses these levels.  It's a little work, but they have been tested and work as is.

2) Added some missing markers to the forest_caves map.  It now loads properly

3) Removed the mountain_top map.  It sucks, because it was my favorite  :(.  I did not realize it the first time, but you can only move on the uppermost platform on this level.  You can't descend the ramps or get to the lower platforms.  I don't know why, but I'm working on it.  If I fix it, I will include it on the next release

4) Regarding the pink snow: that probably happened because the game changes lighting settings unless you designate the lighting you want.  The "sunrise", "sunset", and "red alert" settings all have red tints to them.  This might be the source of the discoloration.  Set your lighting at the beginning of your minimod and it should fix this problem.[/spoiler]

Also forgot to acknowledge CmdrKoenig for contributing his Collinwood Map (this whole idea started as a Collinwood minimod!).

Corrections include:

Glacier_main now links to Fortress instead of Cityfreedom

All maps now have hero_2, hero_3, hero_4 markers[/spoiler]
