Title: Mr. Fantastic as a Sphere
Post by: Subrider on May 06, 2007, 06:30:32 PM
Hello,

I took the basketball object and enlarged it about 20 times using Nifscope. I wanted to put a skin texture of Mr. Fantastic onto the sphere and make it a character mesh so that Reed could shapeshift into this inflated ball. I can't get the skin to work, all I get is a giant pink sphere. I thought it would be cool if he could inflate and block alleys and tunnels, etc. Also, I think it would make an interesting speeding bullet attack, or fun to use with the fastball special (with the Thing tossing the spherical Reed Richards).

If someone more skilled at using Nifscope could help me with this, I would appreciate it.

Thanks, Rich

you may want to take a look at the PM_Isz hex from FXforce.com    it's actually a hex from TJ's plastic man mesh (which most people use for misterfantastic anyways.

Afghan Ant had also used it for his Big In Japan character, using that hex in collaboration with Valandar's size changing keyframes allow it to grow.    you could probably hex him a little bigger, and get rid of the arms and legs if you wanted too.

Awesome, thanks detourne_me I didn't know about that mesh!! What you described is much easier and better than my approach.

If you have any trouble downloading it from FxForce, let me know.  I will be happy to email you a copy.  It is a rather amazing mesh.

Otherwise, good luck!

Oops, I have only the TJ_Plasticman and couple kf sets for it.  :banghead:  If you need it though...
