I just noticed this when attempting to re-load 9.6.
Go here: http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=149157&package_id=170735&release_id=508091 (http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=149157&package_id=170735&release_id=508091)
Hope this is helpful.

OK, so the FINAL link I was sent to was this: http://downloads.sourceforge.net/niftools/nifskope-0.9.8-windows.exe?modtime=1179094987&big_mirror=0 (http://downloads.sourceforge.net/niftools/nifskope-0.9.8-windows.exe?modtime=1179094987&big_mirror=0).
Either one should get you there, I hope. Still, I am a bit rusty with SourceForge. Cheers! :dmbbeer
Hmm didn't work for me, so I when back to 0.9.7. Anyone using the new one?
Hmmm....
So, I was curious: As a serious newb to the NifSkope, do you always only see the "bones" of a mesh, or is there a view where you see it with skins? I couldn't find it in 0.9.8.
Guess I'll try 0.97...
normally you see the mesh normally, cept it's white, until you change the render settings to display a skin. I had the same problem, and it gave me some kind of warning.
 Pod, as usual, you are very helpful. Thanks.
