Title: The Regen Tank
Post by: Midnight on May 20, 2007, 01:28:16 PM
So, I spent most of today working on Jack's UBERSTFRUNNINBUILD and made an astonishing discovery: +Recovery is Set Bonus equivalent of a party favor. Every set it's in, it's the first bonus given. I was also surprised to see *which* sets gave this bonus.

This is actually a personal reference, so it lacks most of the numbers (except bonuses), but I'll repost once I've gathered them. Just remember; I used each power slotted with +0 to +3 SOs as my baseline. Every IOed set is almost as good or better than the SO equivalent. Also remember that most of these sets are prohibitively expensive. I wouldn't be surprised if this build topped 1 billion influence honestly.

Edit: Also, for the record, I don't know how IO caps work. There could be a better way to slot. This is just a draft.

QuoteAlso, for the record, I don't know how IO caps work

No hard caps on IO bonuses. They're appplied outside ED, so they dodge the 95% soft cap. The only cap is a duplication cap-- no more than five of the same bonus. If six of your powers give exactly 10% regen boost, you lose one of them. But if three are 10% and three are 8%, you get all of them. Thus, once you've slotted a lot of the best bonus, start looking for crappier ones.

QuotePacing of the Turtle Acc End
Pacing of the Turtle Chance for Recharge Slow
2.) Reduces the duration of Sleep effects on you by 2.75%

This recharge slow is fairly trivial. It's mostly a PvP bonus. Might be better off with something else.

*shrugs*

Otherwise, looks good. The plentiful +Regen bonuses are turning out to be very popular. I'd advise waiting a month or more to start acquiring them through the auction house, as almost every brick build I've seen with IO suggestions is advising some sort of regen build.

I might still stick with slow, because that set is dirt freaking cheap. For good reason, but still. ;)

Finally starting to work on this, but it's proving to be prohibitively expensive. 18 million influence gone and no bonuses yet.

Two questions: Is it just me or does the Numina's Convalesence +Regen, +Recovery not change, no matter it's level? That and; how does it work in passives, like Health?

The only difference level makes for procs and bonuses is the level it conks out when you Exemplar. Otherwise, it's identical at 10 and 50.

Wait, so a lower level proc would be preferable?

Yep.

Neeecropooosting. So this is the build I'm working on now. I've also got a build that has several purple sets. That's in case Posi sends several billion influence down my chimney for Christmas.

I'm close. Only 10 or so IOs away.
