Title: How do you scope the fire FX on Firestorm
Post by: cripp12 on May 23, 2007, 11:46:56 AM
Does anyone know how to scope this FX off.  I do not see anything that says FX in the mesh.

Are you trying to turn it off, or copy it from the mesh to another mesh?

If you're copying FX there is a tutorial thatI can link you to, gotta find it..

Ah in that case, I think Beyonder's Firestorm has the particle effect.  I havent looked at that mesh with NifSkope.  But I know for sure that you can copy FX from the Male_Basic_FX to another mesh, and those are just about the same.  I have had success in copying from Male_BasicFX a bunch of times.

What you should look for are two nodes:

something that says FX node, or fire, which should be located on the head node of Firestorm.  It might be called something else in this case.  This gets copied to the new mesh, pasted on the bone that you want it to move with.  Maybe if you select in the View menu, show nodes, and then in the mesh's Flags, hide the actual mesh, it might be easier to find that node.

And the particle emitter itself, which should be pasted to the new mesh's scene root.
