Title: Crash when entering the Rumble Room
Post by: DEATH on July 16, 2007, 08:29:54 AM
Hi,

I've hit a snag with :ffvstr: I encountered ages ago with :ff:, but I can no longer remember the solution (although it may have been re-install).  Whenever I try and go into the rumble room, the game crashes with an error message about a campaign def problem.  I'm sorry, but I don't have the exact error message with me at work.  I believe I know the reason why.  I am working on a couple of mods, and for the one crashing I have deleted all the built-in missions in FFEdit, mainly so the list is easier to look at and sort through.  Is there a simple way to fix this error without re-installing?  A .dat merge, perhaps?  Do I need to post more info?  Any help would be appreciated...

are you trying to run rumble room from a mod? IIRC, ffvttr requires a set number of missions before you can use the rumble room and any feature related to it correctly.

Previsionary,

Well, that's certainly incentive to finish the mod!  Yes, I'm trying to run it from the mod.  I'm testing charcters (or wanting to) as I build them in.  Can anyone confirm this?  Do we know how many missions must be present (to give me a goal/some hope)?

It's been forever since I've tested, though I could do it sometime later if no one else tries it, but I think it's around 6 or 7. Alternatively, you can just use regular FFVTTR to test or just add some missions back in until rumble room works and erase them when you're done with them.
