Howdy guys, I'm certain that a thread like this existed once, long, long ago in the anteDeluvian days of the board, but it's long gone now. This is mostly for my own curiosity, but it will also have some bearing on who I bother writing "issues" for in the DCUG.
Oddly enough, my favorite is Plastic Man, though I do have soft spots for Blue Beetle (the second one, Ted Kord), Booster Gold, Hal Jordon, and Batman. I know most of the time he's little more then a running joke (Seriously, the PM is good in bed gag? It gets old) but there's one arc shortly after the "ZOMG Batman PWNs teh JLA!" storyline where the JLA get split apart from their Secret Identities. The plot is horribly forced, but the way it dealt with PM just made me really like the character.
Oh man...I can only choose 1? :banghead:
Ok...for now i guess i'll have to go with ....the Creeper. HAHAHAHA!
robin
Haha, I wasn't really expecting anyone to choose Plastic Man, but that's awesome Tomato! How was he portrayed that was so cool?
The Creeper, huh Outcast? I think I've got a story planned that he shows up in, so you're in luck!
Ahh, but which one, Thor? I have actually been toying with the idea to do a solo Robin adventure or two, but so far I don't have any ideas that will translate well to FF.

Lucky me! You know, :spoiler: don't bother me none. So feel free to give any details about the story when your finished with it Benton. :P
tim's my favorite robin (the only robin with pants), so i'm working on a few solos for him in my mod
but i would really like to see a robin (dick) becoming nightwing story arc ( something i might or might not do )

Basically the idea of the arc (If you'd like to look it up, it's "Divided We Fall") was that at some point Superman made some minor statement akin to "We have two seperate lives, and sometimes I wish that weren't true" and some extra-dimensional wish machine splits the JL into their superhero and personal lives. The story itself is sort of like a Bendis arc... The character and Psychological stuff is good, but the story on it's own merits is very bad(Don't get me wrong, I like Bendis as far as USM and his ability to relate characters, but his storylines are very very bad).
Anyway, the split gets more and more prevalent, and all the component parts get more and more insane... Just as an example, GL gets more and more obsessed with power, while Kyle becomes an insomniac incapable of stopping himself from drawing.
Anyway, PM's "real identity," Patrick "Eel" O'Brian, was a crook and a murderer. He starts compulsively stealing everything in sight, but forcing himself leave it behind. In the end, he reunites the non-powered JLA (in the process beating up Bruce Wayne) and actually leading them against the evil alien dudes.
The sheer fact that PM was the only one of the JL who had the drive to not only resist his transformation, but to turn around and lead them? That was win.
Blue Devil! I am found of both his old and new incarnations.
Specification: Wally West. I love Barry Allen almost as much though. And I love speedsters on FF, sprint can help take out a lot of dudes with just one guy.
Haha, okay Outcast, I'll try and send you a message about it soon.
TR, well, Dick has pants in the TAS, and in my mod. ;) He's one of my favorites too (Robin, that is, specifically Dick), but if you'll be doing some solo adventures, I won't worry about that. I've got enough other projects, huh? ^_^ I will (if I go on long enough) one day do a 'Robin growing up' storyline, but I doubt he'll ever become Nightwing, mostly because I'm not a fan of the name, or a big fan of any of his costumes. Well, that and the fact that I HATE the way he came into being in modern continuity.
Cool Tomato, it's not often Plas gets to be the big hero!
Blue Devil! Haha, that's one I didn't expect to see. Well, I have some good news for you Griz, I'm planning a story arc of Aquaman that has BD join him in a Defenders-esq team that takes on magical threats. They'll be a recurring group, if I have time. Can I contact you about how to write him, because I don't know the character very well, although I like what I know.
Well BWPS, I have good news for you as well! The Flash (Barry) is one of the major players in a storyline that a friend and I are working on, and Wally has a part in it too! Plus, if I somehow clone myself, I'll be doing a Flash solo series as well!
Guy Gardner is my favorite DC character. Although he's a cocky, arrogant, and perverted jerk, a fellow GL, can always count him to have their back. To take the blame, to never run, to take a bullet(or whatever evil aliens are shooting these days :P) for them. He may be an A-hole, but he's the greatest Green Lantern ever.
I voted for Superman, though I actually like Brainiac 5 more, being an LSH fan from way back in the day (which is about 1000 years in the future).
Captain Marvel for me!
I just think the character really fits well in the Freedom Force Universe for a mod (with the bright buildings/atmosphere and stereotypical dialogue of the built -in civillians
plus i'd like to see some cool uses of the billy batson mesh, calling Shazam! and everything
My second choice would be a Superman mod, using Atomic Robot's Perry White, Jimmy Olsen, Clark Kent and Lois Lane skins too (and with Bearded new meshes)
Well, I have to say, the way the voting is breaking down rather surprises me. I'm surprised by how many of you have favorites off the beaten path, and that is quite awesome!
Murs, ha, what in the world am I going to do with Guy? ;) He's in the mod, but I don't know that I have the ability to write him properly. I DO want to tell stories about GL (Hal), and if I go on long enough, I'll eventually come to Guy...the question is, how? If I ever get there, I'll drop you a message and we can talk about it, hmm?
Stumpy, you know, I had planned not to do the Legion, but I may take a crack at them eventually. It'll be awhile though, as Tommy has covered that ground so well with his mod that I hardly feel a pressing need for me to do a second class job of it. ^_^ Superman will, of course, be well represented.
DM, I'm a fan of Captain Marvel, but I don't have any plans for him at the moment. He'll probably be IN some stories, but I don't have anything built around him.
Superman, however...well, I'm planning on doing some Superman adventures eventually. I have a friend who is a huge fan, so we've talked about writing a story together over the break. I do have a good bit of his supporting cast in already, but I suppose I do need Perry White. What meshes does Bearded have?
Two words: Ambush. Bug.
Not many of you know this, but I'm a sucker for obscure characters. Here's a little background on AB-
Irwin Schwab was a beatnick, petty theif from Metropolis who came in contact with a spaceship filled with intergalactic laundry sent by Brum- El of the doomed planet Schwab (ala Krypton), and put on this full- body green suit with antanee. He found that, using little "remote bugs" that can be created by the antanee, he could teleport to anywhere the remotes were placed. He decided, "Hey, why not be a villian," and set out to attack Supes, Bats, and Wonder Woman. By the end of the issue, he changed his mind, deciding that heroics is the way to go, but in reality was nothing more than a nuicense to the DCU. But it doesn't end there...
One of his most noted apprearances was in a later issue where he set out to find "great guest- stars for his comic so he could boost his sales." That's right, he was from then on written to have the knowledge that he was a fictional character. He annoyed Superman, was punched out be Wonder Woman for calling her "sweet cheeks," teleported into the Batcave and knocked over the Giant Penny, and was told to get lost by the Teen Titans.
He had a sidekick named Cheeks, the Toy Wonder (whom was really a lifeless doll in a superhero costume.) He was hounded by Jonny DC, the Continuity Cop. His main villian was Argh!Yle!, an argyle sock with a Dr. Doom complex, complete with metal mask. He was beat up by Lobo in deep space. He threw a "Kegger" with Plastic Man and The Heckler on the Justice League Moonbase. And he was in the Justice League during 52, and can see astrial projections, like when Prof. Stein speaks to Firestorm.
Whew, that's a lot. Good stuff all around.

One of the great things about FF is that you can re-create you favorite characters they way you see fit. I'm sure I'll enjoy your interpretation off Guy if you ever get to it. But, if you want some simple guidelines to follow, just make him a jerk but completely loyal to his fellow Green Lanterns.
Give him a love interest, a new haircut, a new uniform, a sidekick, or whatever you want, if and when you get to modding Guy.
I was thinking of adding guy like this: looking to find an earthman with will rivaling hal jordan, sinestro recruits guy garder with a yellow. guy whoops hal just to prove a point then turns on sinestro destroying his ring yellow ring in the process. gaurdians give guy a green ring 4 being a bad arse ring wielder
Hard choice. So I went with Barry Allen as the one I would most like to play in FF.
Certainly, Guy is my favorite overall character who has a definite advantage over Barry (Guy isn't dead) and a big one up on Captain Marvel (Guy hasn't been completely ruined and given silly long white hair).

WHAT?!
*looks up*
That's stupid. You're stupid, Judd Winick. Yes, just because of the hair.
The first and best... Superman.

The conspiracy theorist Timm-verse version of The Question (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Question_(comics)#Justice_League_Unlimited) (and not the Objectivism-spouting original by Steve Ditko). If I had to choose from the ones on the list, though, I'd probably go for Green Arrow (Black Canary optional).
Good news ZD, The Question (and yes, particularly the awesome JLU version) is the main player in a storyline I'm working on. He'll be uncovering a conspiracy of a most sinister nature.
