Thought this (http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=shibboleth&Number=9802462&bodyprev=#Post9802462) was interesting.

Heh... so unbeknownst to the community at large, the real hover forward animation has been broken from day one.  They introduce a bit of code that accidentally fixes it.  And then they get complaints and decide to 'break' it again.  Classic. :)

Personally, I would've liked to have seen the correct animation.  Odds are it would have looked a whole lot better and more floaty.

They really, really need to find a way to introduce some customizable animations for standard movement and idles.  So my flypose3 works all the time without firing off an emote, so folks who want to actually float when they hover can do so, so I can 'swim' or 'surf' in thin air if I want, so I can do the backstroke when I hit deep water, so my characters can automatically start picking their noses when idle, so I can duck walk my way through Atlas Park if I want to, etc.

Yah, I know... I'm a dreamer.

I'm pretty sure I've seen it. Every now and then, when one of my characters was on Hover, I'd see him sort of drift forward in a leaning-forward standing position rather than fly.
