My guess is that if these are custom FX you installed that weren't part of EZFX, they wont appear because they are not in the fx.dat file that came with the map pack, nor are any of the new graphics/nif files that your new FX use.

When you installed the FX the first time, did you put them into your ffx directory or into the data directory?

What was the solution? It may be helpful to others. Was it just merging the DATs?

I think it really depends on where you installed your new FX to.

If you've installed the FX to the data directory (so that all games/mods have access to them) it should just be a matter of merging the dats.

If you added the FX specifically to the ffx install (or some other mod) in addition to merging the dats, you'd probably have to copy any new fx files (nifs, tga's etc..) into either the fx directory in Data or into the fx directory in the mappack mod folder.

It depends more on what the data path to the fx in ffedit is setup to be. If the full path is used, then you only have to merge dats (and keep the mod or whatever installed), no FX folder/texture movement is required as it won't read it anyway. If you used the short "library/..." path, then you'll have to either put the fx/textures in the appropriate place in the mod folder and merge dats, or move the fx/textures to the data directory and merge dats. Hopefully that makes sense.
