Title: Even More DC Obscura
Post by: BentonGrey on May 17, 2008, 09:39:36 PM
Howdy guys, I've been trying to get back into working on the DCUG now that I'm done with the semester, and Hoss's excellent Awesome Threesome gave me a pretty great starting point.  I've whipped up something for two of the three relatively easily, but their leader has given me fits.  Here is a little info about them:

Torpedo's powers, interestingly enough, seem to be based on his ability to transform into a projectile and strike his foes with great force.  I'm curious how y'all would represent this.  I am thinking that he would end up being somewhat like Cannonball, so I've given him human rocket, and I will try and get his KF's edited so he has some flying melee's that are like charges, but other than that, I don't really even know where to begin.  Does anyone have any suggestions?

You could use Living Laser for Torpedo-Man. I don't know of any green torpedo FX that you could use for the power, but that shouldn't be to difficult considering the great FX-creating talent we have in this community.

There is a green rocket effect from (I think) FXForce, supposed to be for a Green Lantern.

Hmm...well, upon playing around with him a little bit (and blatantly stealing the ideas from USAgent's Cannonball herofile) I decided to alter the original concept a bit, and try and make him a more interesting opponent.  Now he's got a 50% passive defense that absorbs physical attacks, and the ability to channel that energy into short range blasts, increased strength, and powerful charge attacks.  Think of him as a cross between Cannonball, Bishop, and Sebastian Shaw.  So, I'm going to get some of Taskmaster's great flying melee kf's and give him a few weak, free attacks, but a few really strong and costly ones.  He'll be more effective the more Aquaman pounds on him, but weak to his mental attacks.  Thoughts?
