Title: Character weight.
Post by: XPTO on July 13, 2008, 10:57:35 PM
Hello all, i was triyng to get my hero files as close as possible to the official stats of a character, but how do you guys change the weight of a character without changing the body material since resistences also change. Is it possible?

Hulk for example is around 1000 lbs. as green hulk and its flesh http://www.marveldirectory.com/individuals/h/hulk.htm (http://www.marveldirectory.com/individuals/h/hulk.htm)

Oh and Alex tool doesn´t let us put in the real weight too for what i´ve seen.

The version of EZHero I have allows for a weight entry (right next to Material).  Other places I know to put it in are the FFX Control Centre, and Mr. Brdo's Hero Tool.  Granted, I'm still running  :ff:, so I don't have the exact version you most likely have, but I doubt that any of them would have taken that functionality out for later versions.

Just be aware that if you are altering character files with Mr Brdos tool, if you change any mesh info, it writes it as a full file path, not relative, so it may screw up hero files (missing mesh in game) if you have the game installed to a non standard location (like a second HD or someplace other than C:\Program FIles\Irrational Games\...)

When I gave my Hulk 1000 lbs., almost nothing in the game could knock him back. A 10 Strength and Extreme KB Melee attack would only knock him down, not back. I'm pretty sure Hulk can be knocked back further than that. Also, when matching the characters' weights, I found that the females were at a severe disadvantage in the game, because of their lower proportional weight to the men. So, I created a chart to convert the weights, to make it a bit more even, and also let's the heavy guys get knocked back by other heavy-weights.

Yes, thanks, steamteck. It's in my Marvel/DC Conversion document available at my Yahoo! Group or Website.

Here's the chart:
FF Weight      Comic Weight
50                    1-20
60                    21-30
70                    31-40
80                    41-50
90                    51-60
100                  61-70
110                  71-80
130                  81-100
140                  101-125
150                  126-150
170                  151-200
190                  201-250
220                  251-350
240                  351-450
260                  451-550
280                  551-650
300                  651-750
330                  751-850
350                  851-1000
390                  1001-1500
440                  1501-2000
480                  1-2 tons
520                  3-5 tons

For characters weighing more than 5 tons, you can either raise the weight higher or give them Density Control.
