I've come back to Freedom Force after awhile and loaded it onto my new laptop which is running Vista. I also downloaded the patch so the game seems to be working fine. I then wanted to install FFX and the Strangers mod. I downloaded them and the install seemed to run fine, but there is no evidence that they were installed at all...I can't find them in the correct, or any, folder.
Is this a Vista issue? Has anyone else had a similar problem?

First time I heard of this... I suspect a Vista issue related to login/permissions. Not a Vista user myself, so I won't be of much help, but were you logged as administrator when installing?
Just to confirm, you've neither a FFX or a Strangers folder under c:\program files\irrational games\freedom force nor the related shortcuts in your menu?
I may not have been logged in as Admin. And yes, no FFX or Strangers folders or icons are visible.
Could this be related to the issue Uncle Yuan was having (http://freedomreborn.net/archive/index.php?topic=47767.0) recently? What version of Vista is this (and was it 32 or 64 bit)?
