Title: Pink Floyd musician Richard Wright Dies at Age 65

This is a sad day. :( After Live8, I actually began to get my hopes up that the reunion would stick and that we'd see another Floyd album.  Alas, cancer seems to claimed another great musician and brought to an end an entire era of a truly artistically adept band.  Nothing will ever be the same.

It's a long time since I liked the Floyd, but they were an essential part of my adolescence and early adulthood.
This is sad news.

Sad news indeed. Floyd's albums (particularly the pre-The Wall stuff) played a huge part in fueling my interest in music.
