Hey guys, was thinking joining the skinning business :), my skills in Photoshop are slim but we are always learning and improving (well some anyway :blink:).
So here goes my first skin, i tried adding real braces but to no good until now so i skinned them too, the character himself is the Starforce member Ultimus and if i can find good meshes/pieces i´ll do the full team.
The hair is not finished yet but the skin is mostly done. Hope you like him.

Really good skin, especially for a first one. The details in the belt are fantastic. I assume the yellow parts are to be metallic? Does it have some reflection?
Thank you LP ^_^, it will sure have reflection although very subtle so it gives a natural feel aswell.
The details so far for your first skin are excellent. Can't wait to see the finish product. :cool:

Thanks Outcast, yes this mesh i scoped could easily be Genis Vell without the colar and with the nega bands, speaking of nega bands Captain Atlas got hold of them too once, so i think i´ll add another .nif with them :).
Ok this Genis Vell talk made me want to skin him, here´s my work in progress.
I need to know how to hide the blaster weapon until the animation is played for it, the scope has the blaster hidden in hopes i learn to do this, so far i´m lost :(.
The helm is alpha enabled, still needs the nega bands and more details :).

Well you won't be able to hide the gun for a VX mesh since none of them have guns and transfering keyframes won't work. You may want to try a different mesh. ;)

Thanks Blkcasanova247, moved to a new mesh problem solved :P. Gotta skope some keyframes for him yet but the skin is finished :).

Hmmm...I think the color green needs to be more greener? Just based on this pic (http://www.incognitocomics.co.uk/_pics/FS_1831001.jpg) on the net. Good job on the shoulder pads. I know finding the right shoulder pads to skope is hard. I'm trying to look for those myself. :P

Thank you for the constructive comments, the color is a bit lighter but i´ll redo that and some more bits i didn´t like, about the shoulder pads i haven´t found ones that looked good on him but i think its ok for now.
