Picked up 4 uncommon and 4 rare so far, bought some rares.

I have almost a full set of recipes for Positron's Blast, but the salvage will take some time to acquire.

Ooo, you rock!

I played for about 4.5 hours, running police and AV mishes.  Got a bunch of invention salvage plus 2 uncommon and one rare recipe (thank you, teammates!).  I sold these recipes plus my uncommon and rare salvage to take advantage of the early economy, but figure I'll be keeping the ones I can use once the market calms down and stabilizes.

Additionally, I "Sugar-Daddied" myself by having some of my lowbies put Training Enhancements for sale at high prices, then switched over to my wealthy 50 to buy them. Worked like a charm, and now I'm set for DOs and SOs quite early on without having to bother anyone else. I did this both on Freedom and from Freedom to Champion, to it definitely works across servers.

Oh, and G'day? That's a smashing new avatar!

I tried to do that for my Champion toons, but it wouldn't work for me.  My lowbie on Champion put a TO up for sale and my toon on Freedom entered the asking price my Champ toon posted, and I never bought his.  What am I doing wrong?  What did you do differently?

You probably bought the wrong one. Someone else had the same TO up for a lower price than you were asking, so they got the money instead.

There are 2 tricks to avoiding this:

1) Use a weird TO. Don't buy a level 5 damage... use a random level 6 Intangibility Duration, or something else equally bizarre. The odds of someone else having it up are pretty much zero.
2) Post it for a weird amount of money. Instead of 2mil, put it up for 2,000,014. Then, buy it for 2,000,015, just to be sure.

Sorry, amigos, I should have mentioned that it took me a couple of tries to figure out the method.

Number one - have your wealthy hero/villain at the CH/Truck before you start puting things up for sale with your lowbie.  This cuts down on in-between time when someone else could post the same thing and mess up your transfer.

Next, Spud's number one item is key: if you put up a less common enhancement, then there's less chance of an identical one also being up there.  But ALWAYS look at the "For Sale" list first, because you can see if there's a duplicate already up. Never put an enhancement for sale that's already on the list, because you'll have no idea which one you're buying when you switch over.

Lastly, be sure you keep an eye on the transaction fee for the price you're listing.  It will go up as you raise the price.  The fee will be 5% of your asking price, and most lowbies don't have all that much influence.  Since the listing will not be permitted if you don't currently have the 5%, then a character with 25,000 influence will not be able to post a TO for 750,000.  Drop it to 500,000 and the TO will then be listed when you switch to your "sugar daddy", and you can still buy it for as much as you like above the 500,000.  Unfortunately, the UI does not show this "listing error" very well when you make it on the selling side, and it took me a couple of times to see my mistake.

Make your switch-over as quickly as possible, too, as you never know when someone else on any server is doing the same thing.

Happy funding!  :D
