Had an idea this morning.  Already I'm noticing that my Tortuga character is getting/going to get a lot of Invention Salvage/Recipes I will never use for him.  There are some Wing options for instance, that I don't anticipate ever using.  I have no characters that would work for them.  So here's the idea.

Sharing within the community.  You get a recipe you know you don't want for any toons, then post what you have up for grabs.  If you'd rather sell via Wentworth's that's totally fine.

Also, post an item that you really really want.  One item or set, kinda thing.  It's your Holy Grail of recipes or salvage.

So here would be a sample post:

I'd take that one step further and include needed/extra invention salvage. 

Working solo it will take a lot longer to put together the ingredients for the recipes than if people are sharing the stuff they don't need.

The drawback is, if you don't know what ingredients you need, you don't know what to give away and what to keep.  It would probably be best to just post what you need and if someone has it they can contact you.


Another thought occurs to me.  Since straight trading and gifting will only work on the same server and won't be possible cross-server without using Wentworth's, you might want to mention which character on which server has the recipe.  Something like:

Yes, Max did manage to snag a Rare drop after nearly being killed by an Outcast boss.  I haven't decided whether to keep or sell yet; it will cost half my available influence to build it even assuming I can get the ingredients.  Probably sell, even though I could really use it.

Typically, the two recipes Gday got tonight aren't any good to me... one's a snipe recipe (and I've already established that I'm working on Sting of the Manticore, so any other snipe stuff's not needed), and the other was the one Luck of the Gambler, KO's already crafted. Fie!
